NFL Monday Night Football Same Game Parlay Odds & Picks (Week 14)

We’ve got two games on the Monday night slate for the first time in a while.

One matchup has the Miami Dolphins looking to gain that top seed in the AFC and will have the chance to do it against the struggling Tennessee Titans. The other game has the red-hot Green Bay Packers making a late-season playoff run as they’ve won three consecutive games and take on a New York Giants squad that’s won their past two.

Tennessee Titans at Miami Dolphins

People were wondering if the Dolphins were for real after the loss against the Kansas City Chiefs, and it seems so, as they’ve rattled off three consecutive wins coming out of their bye week. The offense continues to produce; and in those three wins, Miami averages 33 points and has their full complement of offensive weapons. The Titans are in an unfamiliar spot compared to recent years – last place in the AFC South. It looked promising for rookie quarterback Will Levis after his first start, but he hasn’t been able to find that same spark. He’s only thrown for 250 yards once in his past five games with just three passing touchdowns. Each part of Tennessee’s game has regressed as the season progresses, so the Dolphins should win this easily.

The Titans’ run defense started the season playing very well and allowed less than 100 rushing yards in the first four games, but they’ve regressed and have allowed 120 in five of the last eight. And when Achane is on the field, he’s one of the most electric runners – averaging a mind-blowing 9.5 yards per carry.

Miami has one of the more dynamic offenses in the league, so the defense doesn’t get enough credit. They are also excellent on that side of the ball and allow the sixth-fewest total yards. It was promising for Levis in his first start, especially the connection with wideout DeAndre Hopkins. However, that’s also regressed recently, and Miami’s defense will focus on stopping him.

Green Bay Packers at New York Giants

We counted out Green Bay as they struggled early on, but this team has vastly improved. They’ve won three straight, and the development of Jordan Love has been a big part of it, as he’s averaged 285.6 passing yards with eight touchdowns in that span. After starting the season 1-8, the Giants have won back-to-back games, but it’s been against the Washington Commanders and New England Patriots. Quarterback Tommy DeVito has played well in those wins, with a 68.7 completion percentage, four touchdowns and no interceptions. The weather calls for rain throughout Sunday and Monday, so bad conditions could see both teams struggling offensively, and this could be a slow-paced, low-scoring game.

DeVito continues to improve with every game, though, and while he will likely not be the starter in 2024, he’s making a case to be the backup for New York. The key to his success is they haven’t forced him to throw a lot, and he’s yet to attempt more than 30 passes in a start. The weather calls for rain, so don’t expect him to do too much. The Packers have also allowed the seventh-fewest completions and are 15th in completion percentage.

The Packers have several key players who will miss this game, including potentially running back Aaron Jones. Dillion gets 15+ touches every time Jones is sidelined, and this game will be no different. He’s struggled recently, but this will be the most favorable matchup he’s seen recently.  The Giants have allowed the second-most rushing yards per carry and rushing touchdowns.
