NFL Monday Night Football Same Game Parlay Picks: Chargers vs. Jets (Week 9)

The final game of the week is turning out to be an interesting one. The Chargers need to start winning because the AFC playoff picture looks like it could be competitive. With everyone in the AFC East losing on Sunday, the Jets would be tied in the loss with the Dolphins, and would give them a four-game winning streak.

Leg 1: Jets +3.5 (-118)

The Chargers have been inconsistent all season, and they're coming in, losing two of the last three games. The defense has been abysmal, being 24th in points allowed and 31st in total yards. The offense has been carrying them throughout the season, but injuries on that side with Mike Williams being out for the year, and now Joshua Palmer is out for this game.  The Jets are roaring back into contention, winning three straight. Defense wins championships, and the Jets defensive front will be in Justin Herbert's face all night. They have the best hurry percentage in the league, and the Chargers' offensive line is average in pressure percentage, QB hurries, and hits. If Los Angeles struggles on offense, they don't have a defense that can make stops when needed. New York will make this into a close one.

Leg 2: Garrett Wilson Over 66.5 Receiving Yards (-115)

We know that the Jets offense took a step back when Aaron Rodgers got hurt, but after some early struggles, it's been improving. Garrett Wilson is seeing the benefits as he has at least seven catches in three of the last four games and 90 and 100 receiver yards respectively, in the last two games, which are his season-highs. Now he gets the Chargers, who allow the third-most passing yards and the most net yards per pass attempt.

Keenan Allen Over 6.5 Receptions (-125)

Through all the injuries the Chargers offense has dealt with, Keenan Allen has stepped up, and he's eighth in catches and receiving yards this year. The Jets have a great defense and exceptional cornerbacks, but we shouldn't see them lining up near Allen. Sauce Gardner and D.J Reed have tended to cover the outside, and they've lined up twice between them as slot corners.

Total Parlay: +522
