NFL Monday Night Football Same Game Parlay Picks: Raiders vs. Lions (Week 8)

One more game to end the week, and it’s two teams coming off bad losses. The Lions were destroyed by the Ravens on the road, so they’ll want to get back on the right track. The Raiders lost to the Bears, who were starting their backup quarterback, who was an undrafted free agent making his NFL debut.

Leg 1: Lions -7.5 (-115)

Jimmy Garoppolo was out last week due to an injury but is set to return. Although the offense hasn't been great with him, it's still an upgrade.  The Lions are coming off their worst performance since last year, as the Ravens routed them 38-6. David Montgomery is out again this week as he deals with a rib injury, but Jahmyr Gibbs played well as the feature back, rushing for 6.2 yards per carry and running for a touchdown. Detroit has a lot of offensive weapons with big-play abilities, as they're 11th in big-play passes (passes of 25 yards or more), and Las Vegas is last. Vegas hasn't been able to push down the field on either the run or pass, no matter who's been the quarterback, while the Lions can do both. Detroit's offense will help them this in a big way as they rebound with a win.

Leg 2: Jahmyr Gibbs Over 70.5 Rushing Yards (-115)

Gibbs was effective when he got the ball, but the game script took him out, so he only had 68 rushing yards. The Raiders have been terrible against the run this season, allowing the fourth-most attempts (207), fifth-most in rushing yards (902), and last in expected points contributed by the rushing defense (-20.3). Gibbs will be heavily featured like last week when he was on the field for 87% of the snaps.

Leg 3: Michael Mayer Over 21.5 Receiving Yards (-120)

Michael Mayer's stock is on the rise as he's seeing an increase in targets. His large stature makes him tough to cover, with a 100% catch rate on contested catches. The Lions have been terrible at containing the tight end all season, allowing this over to eight different tight ends, including multiple in three games.
