Monday's Best NFL Touchdown Scorer Prop Bets: Chargers vs. Cardinals
(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)
J.K. Dobbins â First Touchdown Scorer (+550)
The Chargers are one of the heaviest run teams in the league at 52.4% (third) and they look to J.K. Dobbins to establish the ground game. He's coming into this game with the sixth-most rushing yards (438).
The Cardinals have been a terrible defense overall, especially against the run, ranking 29th in rushing yards allowed and have allowed the fourth-most rushing touchdowns (eight). Dobbins leads the team with nine rushing attempts inside the 20. They will try to punch it in on first, second and third down.
Ladd McConkey â Anytime Touchdown Scorer (+210)
When the Chargers do throw, it's to Ladd McConkey. The rookie has been a favorite of Justin Herbert, as he leads the team in targets (32), receptions (19) and receiving yards (219).
We talked about how bad Arizona's run defense is. Their passing defense isn't better, as it ranks 29th in the league in opponent dropback expected points added (EPA) and dead last in opponent dropback success rate.
Trey McBride â Anytime Touchdown Scorer (+230)
Although Marvin Harrison Jr. has cleared concussion protocol and will play, there's still confidence in Trey McBride. The Chargers are allowing a 78% catch rate to tight ends, so their coverage is not great against the position. Harrison Jr. has all the receiving touchdowns but McBride leads the team in overall and end-zone targets.
