NFL Wild Card TD Scorers Prop Bets: Vikings vs. Rams

Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook

Minnesota Vikings First TD Scorer: Jordan Addison (+440)

Unfortunately, Addison didn't score in the Week 8 matchup against the Rams. The former USC star finished the game with two receptions on three targets for 22 receiving yards. However, the second-year pro has been a scoring machine since that contest. He had eight of his nine receiving touchdowns since that Week 8 matchup against Los Angeles, including five scores over the past five weeks, totaling at least one in three outings.

More importantly, Addison has been a go-to target for Sam Darnold early in games. He has had the first Minnesota touchdown in 40% of his games during the regular season. Furthermore, Addison had the team's first touchdown in half of the contests since the Week 8 matchup, including two of the past five outings. Meanwhile, the first touchdown scored against the Rams was by a wide receiver in seven of their past 10 games.

Los Angeles Rams First TD Scorer: Kyren Williams (+220)

Everyone knows there is no such thing as a guaranteed bet. However, Williams had the most first team touchdowns in the NFL during the regular season. The star running back had 14 rushing touchdowns this year, the fifth-most in the league. He has found the end zone in 75% of the games during the regular season, including five of his past six contests. Furthermore, Williams had three games this year with two or more touchdowns.

Therefore, more aggressive bettors should do a same-game parlay of Williams to score the first Rams touchdown, and two have two scores (+586). He had the first Los Angeles touchdown in the Week 8 matchup against the Vikings. More importantly, Williams has had the first team touchdown in 75% of his games, including five consecutive matchups where the Rams found the end zone. Last week, Minnesota gave up an NFL-high four touchdowns to Jahmyr Gibbs.

Anytime TD Scorer: T.J. Hockenson (+220)

While he didn't have a receiving touchdown during the regular season, Hockenson played well for the Vikings. The star tight end missed the first half of the year recovering from a torn ACL he suffered during the 2023 season, including the Week 8 matchup against Los Angeles. However, Hockenson has had some impressive performances, totaling three games with eight or more targets, including last week in the loss to the Detroit Lions.

Despite not having a receiving touchdown during the regular season, the star tight end is an underrated pick to find the end zone on Monday night. Minnesota got five receiving touchdowns from their backup tight ends this year, including one by Josh Oliver in the Week 8 matchup. More importantly, Los Angeles surrendered seven receiving touchdowns to tight ends during the regular season, the eighth-most in the NFL, including two last week.

Anytime TD Scorer: Demarcus Robinson (+320)

Los Angeles has arguably the top 1-2 punch at wide receiver in the NFL with Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp. The two superstars combined for nine receiving touchdowns in 23 regular season games. By comparison, Robinson led the team with seven receiving touchdowns. Yet, he scored most of them with Nacua and Kupp playing, totaling all but one alongside the superstars. More importantly, the veteran was outstanding against Minnesota in Week 8.

Robinson had two receiving touchdowns on only three targets in the win over the Vikings. Furthermore, he had two games during the regular season with two receiving touchdowns. By comparison, Nacua and Kupp combined for one two-touchdown performance. Therefore, more aggressive bettors should take Robinson to score two touchdowns at +3200. Meanwhile, the Vikings surrendered 18 receiving touchdowns to wide receivers during the regular season, including three in the Week 8 matchup.
