Best Same Game Parlay Bets: Eagles vs. Commanders

(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)

Washington Commanders @ Philadelphia Eagles

Jalen Hurts hurt his knee last week. He returned to full participation in practice on Thursday. Therefore, Hurts isn’t a threat to miss this week’s NFC Championship Game. However, his knee injury could hamper Hurts’ performance on the ground and even through the air if his base and mechanics are thrown off. As it stands, 225.5 passing plus rushing yards have been a bar too high for Hurts to clear lately, anyway. He’s had fewer than 225.5 passing plus rushing yards in both playoff games and five of his last six healthy contests.

Philadelphia’s offense will almost certainly run through Saquon Barkley. According to RotoViz’s pace app, the Eagles have had a 55% situation-neutral rush rate in the playoffs. Conversely, the Commanders have faced a 54% situation-neutral rush rate in the postseason.

Barkley has toted the rock 25 and 26 times for 119 and 205 rushing yards in the playoffs. He’s reached at least 100 rushing yards in four straight games and eight of his past nine. Barkley also steamrolled the Commanders for 146 and 150 rushing yards in the regular season. Furthermore, Barkley scored four touchdowns against Washington this year, splitting them two apiece between the two contests.

According to the data suite at Fantasy Points, Barkley has handled 100% of Philadelphia’s rush attempts inside the five-yard line in the playoffs. Hurts’ knee injury could also prompt Philadelphia to keep feeding Barkley inside the five-yard line this week. Barkley has scored a touchdown in precisely half of his games this year, and he should get back into the end zone this week. He should also reach at least 100 rushing yards against a leaky run defense. Since Week 15, Washington has yielded 143.0 rushing yards per game at 5.20 yards per carry. FantasyPros projects Barkley to have 113.4 rushing yards and 0.9 touchdowns this week.

Jayden Daniels should be a busy passer this week. The Eagles have faced a 65% situation-neutral pass rate in the playoffs and 61% since Week 15. Daniels torched the Eagles for 258 passing yards in Week 16, and he’s had over 225 passing yards in five straight games he didn’t leave early with an injury. Daniels has been on fire in the playoffs, shredding the Buccaneers for 268 passing yards and the Lions for 299. FantasyPros projects him to have 235.1 passing yards in the rubber match against the Eagles.
