Week 4 Sunday Night Football Player Prop Bets
(Odds Courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)
Josh Allen Over 230.5 Passing Yards (-130)
Stopping the pass is not something Baltimoreâs defense has excelled at during the first few weeks. In fact, the Ravens rank dead last in opponent passing yards per game (291.7) and 29th in opponent yards per completion (11.2). Theyâve been tagged for at least 276 yards through the air by each of the three quarterbacks they have faced (Patrick Mahomes, Gardner Minshew, Dak Prescott). Talk about a perfect matchup for Buffalo signal-caller Josh Allen to continue his stellar start to the 2024 campaign.
Allen has been sacked only twice so far, which is a testament to his pocket presence and Buffaloâs strong offensive line. It has allowed him to go over his reads accurately and complete 75% of his passes (second-best in the NFL). Overall, Allen has eclipsed 231 passing yards in two of his three contests this year after crossing that mark in 12 of his 17 regular season contests last year. Bettors can rely on the Pro Bowlerâs arm with confidence in a clash that lines up to be back and forth until the final whistle blows.
Justice Hill Over 15.5 Receiving Yards (-115)
Running back Derrick Henry is a workhorse, but his role in the passing attack is almost nonexistent. That job is given to fifth-year pro Justice Hill. Hill has snagged 10 of his 12 targets for 83 yards while appearing in 50% of Baltimoreâs offensive snaps. Dating back to 2023, he has tallied at least 16 receiving yards in five of his last six regular season games. While it sounds simple, Hillâs ability to follow his blockers on a screen or detect an open spot when leaking out of the backfield makes him a true threat.
This wager is a path to pounce on Buffaloâs thin linebacker position, too. The absences of Matt Milano and Terrel Bernard remain noticeable. The Bills have surrendered the fifth-most receiving yards (162) to running backs on an average of 8.5 yards per reception. Four different backs have finished with at least 16 receiving yards against head coach Sean McDermottâs team across three weeks. Expect Hill to be added to the list as he serves as quarterback Lamar Jacksonâs security blanket all evening long.
Khalil Shakir Anytime Touchdown Scorer (+175)
Iâll shift focus back to Baltimoreâs subpar pass defense and Allenâs play-making skills for this prop bet. The Ravens have conceded at least one touchdown to an opposing wide receiver in every game up to this point. On the other side, Allen checks in atop the AFC leaderboard with seven passing touchdowns. Throwing a sprinkle on Keon Coleman (+255) or Mack Hollins (+475) to score is worth a look as a result. However, Khalil Shakir is the wideout to lock in considering he has been Allenâs favorite option.
Shakir has recorded a team-high 168 receiving yards on 14 receptions and scored two touchdowns in three contests. The former Boise State Broncosâ reliability has been his best quality. After all, Shakir has hauled in the last 27 passes thrown his way. That puts him in a tie with Michael Thomas (2018) for the most consecutive targets caught by a receiver since 1991. Allen told reporters that Shakir âjust keeps finding ways to be in the right spot at the right time.â Take a shot at a healthy payout here at +175 odds.
