Best Super Bowl LIX Teaser Bets

Full-Game Odds

  • Spread: Philadelphia Eagles +1.5 (-115)
  • Total: 48.5 (-110/-110)

6-Point Teaser Bet (-120)

  • New Spread: Philadelphia Eagles +7.5
  • New Total: Over 42.5 Points

In my opinion, the best way to bet a teaser for Super Bowl LIX is to take the Eagles up to 7.5 points while lowering the total down to 42.5 points. Starting with the side, this is a no-brainer from a "value perspective," as this spread of Philly +1.5 points falls into Wong Teaser range. If you're unfamiliar with Wong teasers, check out our full deep-dive on making valuable teaser bets. Essentially, we can take the Eagles through key numbers of +3.0 and +7.0, giving ourselves an edge against the sportsbooks.

From a trends perspective, it's worth noting the Eagles are 17-3 straight up (SU) this season and they've covered a hypothetical +7.5 spread in 19 of those 20 games (95%). As for the Chiefs, they've only won six out of their 19 games (31.5%) by eight or more points this season.

Ultimately, I believe it will be Philadelphia's offense that helps pave the way to both legs of this teaser covering. The Eagles are averaging 28.4 points per game this season, which is the sixth-most in the NFL. Over their current five-game winning streak, they're putting up 33.2 points per contest. Sure, this will be a step up in competition against an excellent Steve Spagnuolo-led Chiefs defense, but I believe the Eagles will pull their weight in helping to get both legs home.

On the flip side, the Chiefs have been finding their footing offensively. They're averaging 27.5 points and 290 yards per game during their 2-0 playoff run. As for their efficiency numbers, Kansas City was the second-best offensive team in terms of third-down conversion rate (48.5%) and third-best in fourth-down situations (70.6%). Philadelphia was 10th (41.7%) and fourth (70.4%) in those respective categories.

With both offenses hitting their strides, weather not being a factor and the sheer amount of star talent on these offenses, I think they're primed to rack up the points. Look for a high-scoring, yet competitive game on Sunday. Give me the Eagles +7.5 and over 42.5 points for the best Super Bowl LIX teaser bet.
