Super Bowl LVIII: AFC Team Same Game Parlay Odds & Picks

(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)

Leg 1: Christian McCaffrey 60+ Rushing Yards (-575)

It’s no secret the Chiefs’ one weakness on defense is defending the run. Kansas City ranks 28th in defensive rush efficiency and 13th in defensive rush explosiveness. That’s not ideal having to go up against the best running back in the league in the biggest game of the year.

If Kyle Shanahan were smart, he’d ride CMC until it’s time to hoist the Lombardi Trophy. McCaffrey hit this number in 12 of his 16 games during the regular season and both playoff games this season.

There are too many weapons on the 49ers offense for the Chiefs to stack the box, so this should be an excellent matchup for #23.

Leg 2: Christian McCaffrey 2+ Touchdowns (+245)

As noted, this should be an excellent matchup for McCaffrey. With the Chiefs’ run defense looking like Swiss cheese, there should be multiple opportunities for McCaffrey to score.

Also, let’s remember his ability to catch the ball out of the backfield. Seven of McCaffrey’s 21 touchdowns have come as a receiver. “CMC” has scored twice in both playoff games this season and is set up nicely to do it again in the Super Bowl.

Leg 3: George Kittle 40+ Receiving Yards (-185)

There is a lot to plan for when looking at this 49ers offense: McCaffrey, Brandon Aiyuk, Deebo Samuel and George Kittle. It seems Kittle may get lost in the weeds at times, but when targeted, he is the No. 2 TE in the league in terms of EPA/game.

The Chiefs’ secondary will have their hands full with Aiyuk and Samuel, while the linebackers will be on an island by themselves, trying to defend Kittle and McCaffrey.

Kittle averages 67.5 yards per game this season and will be Brock Purdy’s safety blanket underneath if he cannot find anything downfield.

Leg 4: Travis Kelce 80+ Receiving Yards (+135)

With the Chiefs being the underdog, the game script will set up well for this leg. Assuming the Chiefs will play from behind or need a late drive to win this game, Travis Kelce becomes Mahomes’ No. 1 target.

Many defenses have tried to stop Kelce, but few have succeeded, especially in the playoffs. Kelce has 12 straight games with 70 or more receiving yards, including 116 against Baltimore two weeks ago.

While Fred Warner is one of the best linebackers in the game, San Francisco plays a lot of heavy zone on defense, which is good news for the Chiefs’ offense.

San Francisco plays Cover 2 defense at the 10th-highest rate in the league, while the Chiefs are No. 1 in Success Rate going against Cover 2. No one is better at finding holes in zone coverage than Kelce; look for Mahomes and Kelce to take advantage of this throughout the game.
