Dallas Cowboys at New York Giants

On Thursday night, there will be an NFC East showdown at MetLife Stadium between the Cowboys and the Giants. Oddly enough, both teams have the same record but after Thursday's game that should change.

Entering this game, the Cowboys have one of the worst defenses in the league as they allow 372.7 total yards and 29.7 points per game (3rd most in the NFL). Some of that is skewed because of the Week 2 beatdown that occurred from the New Orleans Saints. However, their defense did just allow 28 points and 456 total yards to the Ravens last week. Could this be a bounce-back spot for them?

After all, they're facing a Giants offense that can be very hit-or-miss. They are in the bottom half of the NFL in total yards per game with 294.7 yards and their 15.0 PPG is 4th worst in the NFL. As of now, the only consistent piece that the Giants have on offense is receiver Malik Nabers. This could also be a Devin Singletary spot as the Cowboys give up the most rushing yards to opposing offenses (185.7 rushing yards per game).

All that being said, there is one player you can trust every week and that player is CeeDee Lamb of the Dallas Cowboys. So far this season, he's recorded 13 receptions on 24 targets for 218 yards and one touchdown.

In his career against the Giants, he's done well. Through 8 games played, the Cowboys have gone 7-1 and he's averaged 6.5 receptions per game for 90.3 yards. Additionally, he's scored 3 receiving touchdowns and one rushing touchdown against the Giants in his career.

As for the Giants’ defense, they've given up three touchdowns to opposing offenses’ number-one receivers. In Week 1, Justin Jefferson had four receptions for 59 yards and a score. Last week against the Browns, Amari Cooper had seven receptions for 86 yards and two touchdowns.

The chances to score and hit receiving totals should be there for Lamb on Thursday. After all, it's a short week and the Giants are far from having it figured out on defense. Give me the Cowboys to tighten it up on defense and one of the best receivers in football to find the end zone.
