NFL Thursday Night Football Anytime Touchdown Scorer Picks (Week 14): Steelers vs. Patriots

When you’re trying to pick players that could have the chance the score in game with an over/under total of 30, it’s certainly not easily. The Steelers are 28th in points scored per game (16.0) while the Patriots are last (12.3), and each defense is in the top half of the league in points allowed. Let’s look at some touchdowns scorers for this matchups.

Jaylen Warren (+145)

Warren has been great lately, with over six yards per carry in four of his last five games. He and Najee Harris have made the Steelers one of the best ground attacks in the league over the last few weeks. The Patriots are an outstanding run defense, but Pittsburgh will try to establish the ground game in order to open things up for Mitch Trubisky.

Ezekiel Elliott (+205)

Quarterback has been a problem for the Patriots all season. Once again Bailey Zappe will get the start for the struggling Mac Jones, but he has not been much better with a 50% completion rate and no passing touchdowns. New England will also be without Rhamondre Stevenson, so Elliott will be the primary back. The former Cowboy hasn’t been great at 3.8 yards per carry, but he’s the only active back that has recorded carries for this team. If they get into the red zone, don’t be surprised if they let Zeke try to get into the end zone.

Allen Robinson (+800)

For backup quarterback Trubisky, going against a Pats defense is a tough assignment. One thing that Bill Belichick has always done well is taking out an opponent’s best players. This is why Robinson can excel. Robinson and Trubiusky already have a relationship from their days in Chicago, so familiarity could help in a game where the Pats will contain Pittsburgh’s top receivers.
