NFL Thursday Night Football Anytime Touchdown Scorer Picks (Week 17): Browns vs. Jets

The Jets are eliminated from playoff contention, but this game is important for the Browns. They are holding onto the fifth seed, but there still is a chance they could overtake the Ravens, and AFC playoffs could run through Cleveland. Let’s look at who could find the end zone in this game.

Kareem Hunt (+195)

Hunt was initially the odd man out of this backfield, but with Nick Chubb going down, he came in and has a prominent role. Hunt is used when the Browns are in the red zone. He has 28 carries inside the 20, and his eight red zone rushing touchdowns are the fifth most in the league.

David Njoku (+180)

The Jets have one of the better defensive teams in the league. They are equipped with all-pro players from the frontline to the secondary. One position they are vulnerable against is the tight end. While the 69 catches for 644 yards are near the bottom, their eight touchdowns allowed to the position are the second most. Njoku leads the team with 15 red zone targets, and the Browns will exploit the fact they can't defend the position.

Breece Hall (+180)

The Browns defense is very lopsided. They have the best pass defense in the league, allowing the fewest passing yards and passing touchdowns, but the run defense hasn't been as good. They don't give up a lot of yards, but they do give up the score, and the 14 rushing yards allowed is the eighth most. The carousel of quarterbacks made it to Trevor Simone last week, and Hall saw his first 20-carry game since Week 5. He should get another heavy workload and find the end zone.
