NFL Thursday Night Football Player Prop Bet Odds & Picks (Week 16): Saints vs. Rams

This game is very important in the NFC playoff bracket. Both the Saints and Rams sit at 7-7, with Los Angeles holding the seventh and final playoff spot. But with a New Orleans win, they would hold that spot until at least Sunday. Let’s look at some guys who could make an impact in this game.

NFL Week 16 Thursday Night Football Player Props

(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)

Matthew Stafford Over 1.5 Passing Touchdowns (-135)

Stafford has been on a tremendous run recently and has given the Rams a legitimate shot at a playoff spot. He’s thrown for over 250 yards in three straight and had multiple touchdowns in his last four. We’re seeing a healthy offense, and it has benefitted Stafford. You would think he’d be a fade against an excellent Saints defense, but two of Stafford’s recent opponents have been the Ravens and Browns.

Cooper Kupp Over 6.5 Receptions (+110)

If we’re going to ride with Stafford, then we should bet on one of his receivers. It looks like we’re finally seeing a healthy Kupp. He missed the start of the season with a hamstring injury and, until recently, only had five or more catches in two of seven games; he now has eight catches in back-to-back matchups.

Chris Olave Over 62.5 Receiving Yards (-110)

Olave has seen some ups and downs this season, but getting to 1,000 receiving yards is realistic, as he’s just 82 yards away with three games to go. The Rams’ pass defense has not been as dominant as previous years, and they’re 21st in passing yards allowed. One of their biggest weaknesses in the secondary is allowing chunk yards to perimeter receivers, and they’re allowing the fifth-most explosive plays.
