NFL Thursday Night Football Player Prop Bet Picks: Broncos vs. Chiefs (Week 6)

We get an AFC West showdown for the Thursday night matchup. The Chiefs offense has not been as dangerous as in previous years, but champions find ways to win, and they’ve won four straight. The arrival of Sean Payton has not helped the Broncos as it looks like another rough season as they sit in last in the division.

Let’s look at some players that could make an impact tonight.

Patrick Mahomes over 20.5 rushing yards (-120)

I don’t think you can designate Patrick Mahomes as a dual-threat quarterback, but he can use his legs when he needs to. It looks like he has more confidence in using the run game because he has six or more carries in three of five games, he only had two last year. He’s gone over this prop in four of five games this year.

Isaiah Pacheco Over 12.5 Receiving Yards (-115)

The Broncos have been abysmal against the run, as they’ve allowed the most rushing yards per game. In this game, we are focusing on Pacheco because of his usage in the passing game. He’s leading Kansas City running backs with 11 catches and 99 receiving yards. Denver has been allowing the running backs to dominate them on the ground and the air, as they’ve also allowed the most receiving yards to them.

Russell Wilson Over 219.5 Passing Yards (-115)

The Broncos will likely have to look to the pass to keep up with the Chiefs. Wilson has gone over 218 passing yards in three games this season and the over hit in both games against the Chiefs last year. With how bad the Denver defense has been, they will face a deficit through most of the game.

Travis Kelce Over 66.5 Receiving Yards (-115)

We need to emphasize that the Broncos defense is not good. They’ve allowed 70 points in one game, and just last week, they made Zach Wilson look like vintage Russell Wilson. They’ve also been demolished by the tight end recently; last week, Tyler Conklin had 67 receiving yards, and Cole Kmet had 85 yards and two touchdowns the week before. Taking Travis Kelce to go off is a pick that’s never out of style.
