Thursday's Best NFL Player Prop Bets
(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)
Bucky Irving Over 9.5 Rush Attempts (-120)
We need to talk about Irving because the Bucs are leaning toward him. He's coming off his second straight week out-snapping RB Rachaad White, and the rookie from Oregon could take over the RB1 spot.
He isn't the biggest guy, but he runs like one and has averaged 5.7 yards after contact in the last two weeks, and his 3.9 average for the season is better than Derrick Henryâs (2.6).
Atlanta is struggling against the run by allowing 145.5 rushing yards per game (25th). White will still be involved, more in the passing game, while Irving handles the groundwork.
Kyle Pitts Under 28.5 Receiving Yards (-105)
We previously said the Falcons needed an upgrade at quarterback, and Pitts would be fine. He got it, but it has not helped. Excluding one 50-yard reception, he has 55 receiving yards, and last week, he posted goose eggs on the stat line.
If Kirk Cousins wasn't using his other options, you could blame the quarterback play, but Pitts is fifth in receiving yards behind Darnell Mooney, Drake London, Ray-Ray McCloud, and RB Bijan Robinson.
Don't look for Pitts to be a factor.
Kirk Cousins Over 32.5 Passing Attempts (-115)
Cousins will be a factor because he's going to throw a lot. The Buccaneers and Falcons have relied on the pass early this season, as they are both in the top half of the league in pass play percentage, with each over 58%.
Tampa Bay has been letting their opponents air it out, allowing 36.5 pass attempts per game (28th).
