NFL Thursday Night Football Same Game Parlay: Bears vs. Commanders (Week 5)

Week 5 starts with the 0-4 Chicago Bears looking for their first win as they travel to Washington to take on the 2-2 Commanders. While this game may not look appealing, we may see some fireworks on the offensive side. Both teams rank in the bottom 10 in EPA/play and bottom 5 in opponents points per game.

Tonight’s SGP will take advantage of both poor defensive units in hopes of seeing some high offensive outputs from both the Bears and Commanders.

Thursday’s Best NFL Same Game Parlay Bets

Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook

Leg 1: Brian Robinson Jr. Over 15.5 Rushing Attempts

This has the potential to be a perfect game script for Brian Robinson. There is a good chance that Washington will play from ahead for most of the game, allowing the Commanders to lean on Robinson.

In their Week 1 & 2 wins, Robinson had 18 & 19 carries. They ran the ball almost 60% of the plays in the second half, which led to Robinson having a big game. Look for the same result tonight.

Leg 2: Terry McLaurin 50+ Receiving Yards

It’s no secret Terry McLaurin leads the team in targets, receptions, and yards. Having other playmakers around, like Jahan Dotson and Curtis Samuel, will take the focus off McLaurin, allowing him to take advantage of some one-on-one matchups.

The Bears will be without three starting defensive backs in tonight’s game; Sam Howell should have no problem finding his #1 receiver.

Leg 3: D.J. Moore 50+ Receiving Yards

Similar to McLaurin for Washington, D.J. Moore is the clear-cut #1 receiving option for Justin Fields. Moore also leads his team in targets, receptions, and yards.

After a disappointing debut in Week 1, Moore has received at least six targets and has gone over 50 yards in two of the last three games, in which he went over 100 yards.

The Commanders’ secondary has allowed 802 receiving yards to opposing receivers, the 6th most in the NFL. Over the last three weeks, they have allowed A.J. Brown, Stefon Diggs, and Courtland Sutton to get over this number.

Leg 4: Game Total Over 37.5

This game should fly over the original total of 44.5. I knocked it down a few points just to give us a buffer.

In the four games the Bears have played, every game has gone over 40 points. Chicago has allowed 34.3 points per game, the second most, trailing only the Broncos (37.5).

In the four games Washington has played, the total has hit this number three times, with Week 1 against the Cardinals the only one failing to hit this total. With an easier matchup this week, Eric Bieniemy and this offense should be able to move up and down the field with no issue.
