Thursday Night Football Same Game Parlay: Commanders vs. Eagles

(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook | All bets are one unit unless otherwise stated)

        Eagles -3.5 (-134)

Heading into this game, the Eagles have won five straight games while the Commanders are coming off a loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The Commanders face an Eagles defense that’s given up just one passing touchdown since Week 6 while intercepting four passes over that same span.

We saw Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels stymied in the running game against the Steelers, racking up just five yards. The Eagles allow just 11.56 rushing yards per game to the quarterback position. They’ve given up more than 20 yards just once.

Meanwhile, the Commanders’ defense has allowed five passing touchdowns over the last two games. Regarding the running back position, they’ve allowed them to hit the end zone six times over the last five games.

The Eagles are red hot right now, and I think that will continue here at home against the Commanders.

Saquon Barkley Anytime Touchdown Scorer (-185)

As mentioned, the Commanders have given up six rushing touchdowns over the last five games. They’ve allowed at least one touchdown in four of those five contests.

Looking at running back production, they average 23.6 carries for 116.80 rushing yards per game.

To this point, Eagles running back Saquon Barkley has 171 carries for 991 yards and six touchdowns. He’s second in the league in rushing.

He’s scored twice over the last two games.

The biggest threat to his touchdown potential is quarterback Jalen Hurts. Hurts has 10 rushing scores, the second-highest in the NFL.

That said, they’ve only allowed one rushing score to quarterbacks this season.

I think Hurts stays out of the end zone while Barkley scores.

        A.J. Brown 80+ Receiving Yards (-140)

The Commanders defense has surrendered 114 yards or more to wide receivers in each of the last three games.

To be fair to them, though, only two receivers have gone for 80 yards or more all season.

However, when he plays, Brown has consistently been the focal point of the Eagles passing attack.

Through the six games he’s appeared in this season, he’s had 80 receiving yards or more in all but one.

He’s averaging close to seven targets per game and averages 19.8 yards per catch.

He’ll take on a cornerback duo of Benjamin St-Juste and Mike Sainristil.

Together, they’ve allowed 68 receptions on 103 targets for 798 yards and seven touchdowns.

Brown will have a big game here.
