NFL Thursday Night Football Same Game Parlay: Jets vs. Browns (Week 17)

To begin Week 17 of the NFL season, the Cleveland Browns play host to the New York Jets.

While the Jets season has long been over, the Browns season is trending in the opposite direction. With a win tonight, Cleveland can secure a playoff spot for just the second time since 2002.

Browns’ HC Kevin Stefanski helped end Cleveland’s playoff drought, earning a Wild Card spot in 2020.

While there is clear motivation for the Browns to win this game, let’s see if we can also take advantage and cash in on a Same-Game Parlay!

NFL Week 17 Thursday Night Football Same Game Parlay

(Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook)

Leg 1: David Njoku Anytime TD (+185)

Since Joe Flacco took over as the starting QB in Week 13, David Njoku has been one of his go-to weapons. Since week 13, Njoku has been second on the team in targets (five behind Amari Cooper), second in receptions (one behind Cooper), and first in receiving touchdowns (4).

Njoku has scored a TD in three straight games, while the Jets have allowed eight receiving TDs from opposing Tight Ends, the second-most in the NFL.

Leg 2: Cleveland Browns Moneyline (-350)

As mentioned earlier, the Browns will secure a playoff spot with a win tonight. The atmosphere in Cleveland will feel like a playoff game, especially in primetime.

The Jets’ defense can keep this one close, especially since Flacco is known for a few bad weekly decisions. Since week 13, when Flacco took over as QB, he has thrown an interception in every game, with a total of seven INTs in those four weeks.

Don’t mess with the spread, and take the Browns straight up.

Leg 3: Jerome Ford 40+ Rushing Yards (-158)

One weakness of the Jets’ defense is their run defense. Their 1,517 rushing yards to opposing running backs is the seventh-most in the NFL. They have allowed 101 yards per game, which is the sixth-most, and have allowed opposing running backs to hit the 40+ mark in eight straight games.

Leg 4: Breece Hall 3+ Receptions (-400)

The Jets started Trevor Siemian last week, and he targeted Breece Hall a game-high 16 times. Of those 16 targets, Hall caught 12 for 96 yards. With the Browns having one of the better pass defenses in the league, I have a feeling we will see a lot of check-downs to Hall again.

Hall has hit this number in four of their last five games, while the Browns’ defense has allowed an opposing RB to haul in three-plus receptions in five straight games.

4-Leg Parlay Odds: +487
