NFL Thursday Night Football Same Game Parlay: Lions vs. Packers (Week 4)
Week 4 is here, and it starts with a divisional battle between the Detroit Lions and Green Bay Packers. Both teams are coming off a win and sit tied atop the NFC North at 2-1.
While these two teams battle it out on the field, letâs see if we can take advantage and cash out a nice Same Game Parlay.
Thursday Night Football Same Game Parlay: Lions vs. Packers
(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)
- Leg 1: Jordan Love Over 17.5 Rushing Yards
- Leg 2: Amon-Ra St. Brown Under 6.5 Receptions
- Leg 3: Christian Watson Over 36.5 Receiving Yards
Jordan Love isnât afraid to use his legs when needed. Last week against the Saints, he had nine carries for 39 yards. In Week 2, Love had two rush attempts for 23 yards. He has hit this number two straight weeks and has the eighth-highest SCRMB% (percentage of plays resulting in scrambles) among QBs.
Detroitâs defense has allowed the 11th-most rushing yards to opposing QBs, with 22 yards per game.
Itâs no secret that Amon-Ra St. Brown has become Jared Goffâs favorite target. The âSun Godâ leads the Lions in targets and receiving yards. But Goff may have found himself a new weapon in Sam LaPorta. Last week, LaPorta received 11 targets, good for eight catches and 84 yards in the Lionsâ win against Atlanta. The Rookie TE is second on the team in targets, receptions and yards.
Last Week, St. Brown eclipsed 6.5 receptions for the first time this season. He fell short of this number in both meetings with the Packers last year, hauling in four and six receptions.
Green Bayâs No. 1 weapon will be making his season debut tonight. While Jordan Love has done well without Christian Watson, I believe he will prioritize getting his star wide receiver the ball early and often. We donât have much data on the Love-Watson connection, but we know Love can throw the ball downfield, giving his playmakers a chance to make a play. He leads the league in air yards per attempt (9.8) and is fourth in total air yards with 314. Thatâs ahead of other QBs like Justin Herbert, Tua Tagovailoa and Patrick Mahomes.
Parlay odds: +500
