NFL Thursday Night Football Same Game Parlay Odds, Picks, & Predictions (Week 15): Chargers vs. Raiders

Week 15 starts with an underwhelming matchup between the Los Angeles Chargers and the Las Vegas Raiders. Both teams sit at the bottom of the AFC West, and due to different circumstances, we get to watch two backup QBs battle it out.

While I don’t expect Easton Stick or Aidan O’Connell to light up the scoreboard tonight, let’s see if we can make this game more entertaining by trying to cash in on a Same-Game Parlay (SGP).

NFL Week 15 Thursday Night Football Same Game Parlay Best Bets

(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)

Leg 1: Easton Stick Over 18.5 Completions (-120)

I think this number is a bit too low for Easton Stick. Stick made his season debut late in the first quarter after Justin Herbert left the game with a hand injury and managed 13 completions.

The Chargers were trailing most of the game, so the script favored Stick, but I can’t imagine that changing much in tonight’s game. Now, with a whole week to practice, I’m sure offensive coordinator Kellen Moore has a few tricks up his sleeve.

Leg 2: Easton Stick Over .5 Passing Touchdowns (-150)

This may be unpopular because the Chargers’ offense has looked abysmal over the last two weeks. In fact, they have only scored two touchdowns over their last three games.

With Herbert out for the remainder of their season, the Chargers playoff hopes are nearly extinct. At this point, they are playing for pride, and Brandon Staley could be coaching for his job, so I don’t expect the Chargers to roll over and play dead just yet. As mentioned, Moore may have a few tricks up his sleeves and will let Stick throw more than what most people believe.

Leg 3: Austin Ekeler Over 4.5 Receptions (-105)

If Staley and Moore decide to play this game conservatively, this parlay is chalked. But again, we don’t think that will be the case.

Austin Ekeler should see plenty of action tonight between the running and passing game. Once Stick entered last week’s game, his main target was Keenan Allen (who can blame him). Of Stick’s 24 attempts, Allen saw 10 targets. Next was Ekeler, who had four targets.

With Allen ruled out for tonight’s game. Ekeler should receive a lot more work out of the backfield.

Since 2021, in games where Allen did not play, Ekeler has averaged 8.5 targets and 6.5 receptions. Again, all those games came with Herbert as his QB, but we hope the game plan won’t change too much with Stick under center.

3-Leg Parlay Odds: +400
