Thursday's Best NFL Touchdown Scorer Prop Bets
(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)
Josh Allen â First Touchdown Scorer (+650)
If the Bills have a chance to win again in Miami, they will need to control the clock. They did that very well in their last matchup by running the ball 36 times.
He carried the ball 15 times and it will take that number again to win the time of possession battle and keep the ball away from Miami. He will also keep the ball in the red zone, and if heâs their first, heâll want to make sure that he gains an early lead on his own.
Jaylen Wright Anytime Scorer (+165)
Since Raheem Mostert is out and DeâVon Achane is leaning that way, Jeff Wilson and Wright could get all the work in the backfield.
There are a few reasons why Wright might be the guy the Dolphins lean on. The Bills have an excellent pass rush, and while Wilson Jr. is a below-average pass blocker, Wright excelled there in college at Tennessee.
Do not be surprised if he gets a majority of snaps, including inside the red zone.
Khalil Shakir Anytime Scorer (+280)
Shakir caught three passes for 42 yards and a touchdown, and he has now found the end zone in three straight games dating back to last year. Allenâs familiarity with Shakir certainly helps.
The number that should give confidence in his potential to see the ball is the 2.1 yards per route run. Itâs not a big number, but I think Allen will look for the shorter options rather than go for the big play to avoid risking a turnover.
