NFL Week 12 Anytime Touchdown Scorer Picks
Pittsburgh Steelers at Cincinnati Bengals
One of the more intriguing games today is between these two teams. Reason being: how will the Steelers offense look with Matt Canada no longer in the picture? With the Steelers finally firing him, it sure feels like this team could get rejuvenated. One player in particular could be running back Najee Harris. The Steelers have found a nice piece to compliment him with Jaylen Warren but I believe that Harris could see more touches moving forward.
Currently, Harris is averaging just over 33 snaps per game but recently, he's found more success when actually given touches. Over the last five games, he's scored a touchdown in three of those contests. Meanwhile, he's averaging 3.8 yards per carry during that time. Certainly he's not as explosive as Jaylen Warren but there's reason to be intrigued with a change incoming at offensive coordinator.
To make things better for Harris and the Steelers, they're facing a Bengals defense that allows the third-most rushing yards per game (138.3 per game). Additionally, they just got gashed by the Ravens for 157 rushing yards and two touchdowns on the ground. This feels like a potential "get right" spot for Najee Harris and the Steelers offense.
Bet: Steelers RB Najee Harris Anytime TD (+185)
Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Indianapolis Colts
It's hard to say what type of team the Colts are other than interesting. Would they be better if quarterback Anthony Richardson was healthy? It sure feels like it. However, the team has been trying to make it work with Gardner Minshew. While his play has been up and down for much of the year, he's managed games relatively well for the Colts. It's been enough to keep them alive and in the playoff race as we approach the closing months of the regular season.
With that, Minshew has built great rapport with wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr this season. So far this season, Pittman Jr, has 66 receptions on 98 targets for 677 yards and three touchdowns. Over the last three weeks, there's been an increase in production from him as well. During that time he's had 24 receptions off 33 targets and this has resulted in 188 yards and a score. In addition to that, Pittman Jr., has the fourth-most snaps played at wide receiver this year with 661 snaps. Meanwhile, he's got the second-most (tied) red-zone targets this year with 16 of them. This has led to 13 receptions for 98 yards and a score.
This week, the Colts welcome a Buccaneers defense that is second-worst against the pass. The Bucs allow 270.7 yards per game and they've already given up 16 passing touchdowns. Even though Minshew isn't an elite quarterback, he should still be able to throw the football on this defense. After allowing a perfect passer rating to 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy a week ago, the Bucs could tighten up the ship. However, with the Bucs losing 5 of their last 6 games, it feels like some players are jumping off the ship rather than back on. Give me Pittman
Bet: Colts WR Michael Pittman Jr Anytime TD (+140)
