NFL Week 14 Line Movement Analysis: Odds, Picks & Predictions (2023)

Week 14 starts with an underwhelming matchup as the Pittsburgh Steelers play host to the New England Patriots.

While the Thursday Night Game is not very attractive, the Sunday slate gives us two matchups worth watching. Josh Allen and the Bills travel into Arrowhead to take on the Chiefs, while the Eagles and Cowboys battle it out for NFC East bragging rights on Sunday Night.

As always, we keep tabs on all the NFL games and track all significant line movements.

NFL Week 14 Line Movement

(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)

New England Patriots at Pittsburgh Steelers

  • Open: Steelers -6.5
  • Current: Steelers -6

We could see two backup QBs playing in this game, with Mac Jones benched and Kenny Pickett out with an ankle injury. That leaves us with Bailey Zappe and Mitch Trubisky in Prime Time.

There hasn’t been much movement on either side, but the total is the talk of the town. The total opened at 35 and has since been as low as 30.

Jacksonville Jaguars at Cleveland Browns

  • Open: Jaguars -3
  • Current: Browns -1.5

Before Monday’s game between the Bengals and Jaguars, DraftKings had set the line with the Jags as 3-point road favorites against Cleveland. As most of us saw or heard by now, Trevor Lawrence left the game with what looked to be a serious ankle/leg injury.

Monday night, DK removed the game and reopened it Tuesday morning with the Browns as 1.5-point favorites due to the uncertainty of Lawrence’s availability.

Detroit Lions at Chicago Bears

  • Open: Lions -4.5
  • Current: Lions -3.5

The Lions opened as 4.5-point road favorites, but we have seen this line drop in the past 24 hours. As of Tuesday morning, DraftKings has the Lions as 3.5 favorites and can be found as low as 3 in some places.

Houston Texans at New York Jets

  • Open: Texans -4.5
  • Current: Texans -6.5

The Texans got back in the win column as they escaped Denver with a 22-17 win. They opened as 4.5-point favorites and have since been bet up to 6.5.

The Jets have yet to announce who the starting QB will be, but either way, the market is indicating that Houston will be able to win by a touchdown despite who is under center for the Jets.

Minnesota Vikings at Las Vegas Raiders

  • Open: Vikings -1.5
  • Current: Vikings -3

Despite Josh Dobbs having his worst start since coming to Minnesota, the market still has the confidence to back him as he takes on the Raiders. After opening as 1.5-point road favorites, this line has reached 3 in most places as of Tuesday Morning.

Buffalo Bills at Kansas City Chiefs

  • Open: Chiefs -3
  • Current: Chiefs -2.5

It looks like the Chiefs have hit a rough patch lately. Two weeks ago, they got off to a really slow start against the Raiders, then lost outright to the Packers on Sunday Night.

Oddsmakers opened this with the Chiefs as 3-point favorites have seen this drop off the key number 3 over the last 24 hours.

The Bills will have a significant rest advantage as they are coming off their bye, while the Chiefs are coming home after back-to-back weeks on the road.

Philadelphia Eagles at Dallas Cowboys

  • Open: Cowboys -2.5
  • Current: Cowboys -3.5

The Cowboys are looking to avenge their Week 9 loss to the Eagles in a game they should have won.

With a 10-day rest advantage, the Cowboys opened as 2.5-point home favorites, and as of Tuesday morning, this line crossed over the key number of 3 and is currently sitting at 3.5.
