NFL Week 16 Early Odds, Picks & Predictions (2022)
Last week, I suggested picking up the Vikings at -5.5, thinking that the Vikings would take care of the Lions. I was wrong on that one.
However, I also suggested taking the Dolphins at +7 against the Bills and the Patriots at +2 against the Raiders. The Dolphins didn’t move because of a poor performance last week. However, the Patriots are now at EVEN. So we essentially went 1-1-1 with our EV picks last week.
I’m hoping to get at least two EV selections this week.

Detroit Lions vs. Carolina Panthers
The Lions are playing tremendous football right now. They’re taking on the Jets this week, looking to get to .500 on the season. The playoffs aren’t out of the question. A win against the Jets and Panthers would make the Lions over .500.
If the Lions lose to the Jets, nothing will happen to the -2.5-point spread. However, if the Lions end up defeating the Jets on the road, they’ll quickly become a field goal favorite or more before next Sunday.
Meanwhile, oddsmakers will shrug their shoulders if the Panthers beat the Steelers. The Panthers are expected to win by three points anyway and likely won’t blow out the Steelers.
Back the Lions at -2.5 over the Panthers for Week 16.
Bet: Lions -2.5 (-110)
Atlanta Falcons vs. Baltimore Ravens
Lamar Jackson isn’t healthy enough to return to the football field this week against the Browns. He might not even be available for next week’s game against the Falcons.
The Browns are currently 3-point favorites against the 9-4 Ravens with Tyler Huntley under center.
Meanwhile, the Falcons will take on the New Orleans Saints with Desmond Ridder under center. Most of you will agree when I state that Ridder was the best rookie quarterback in pre-season. He’s going to get the start with Drake London lining up at receiver. Ridder could put together a big performance and help the Falcons to their 6th win of the year.
If he performs at a high level, the Falcons aren’t 6.5-point underdogs, even if Jackson is healthy and ready to play.
Bet: Falcons +6.5 (-110)
Philadelphia Eagles vs. Dallas Cowboys
The Eagles and Cowboys are certainly two of the best teams in the NFC this season. But the total for this game is sitting at 50.5.
This divisional rivalry had a score of 26-17 in the first meeting between the two teams.
The Cowboys have still allowed 23 or fewer points in each of their last four games, and the Eagles have held teams to 22 or fewer points in three of their last four games.
The Eagles could struggle a little bit in Chicago on the road. Meanwhile, the Cowboys will take on the Jaguars in Week 15 and could even get upset in that game.
I’ll gladly take the Under 50.5 in this spot. It’ll eventually be bet down.
