NFL Week 16 Early Odds, Picks & Predictions (2023)

With only three weeks left, every game means a little bit more. Many teams have been eliminated from playoff contention, while others must finish the season strong for a chance at a Super Bowl.

That said, I’ve added a couple of best bets for Week 16 in the NFL season. Tail along!

Early NFL Week 16 Best Bets

All wagers are 1 unit.

Arizona Cardinals vs. Chicago Bears

The Bears took a deflating 20-17 loss to the Cleveland Browns last weekend. However, the Bears have played so much better in the second half of the season. Despite the 5-9 record, the Bears have won three of their last five and have allowed no more than 20 points in four of those five games.

Justin Fields has made some really nice throws and is super dynamic. Meanwhile, the Bears’ defense continues to earn turnovers and give the Bears a chance to win.

On the other hand, Arizona is 3-11 after allowing 45 points to the 49ers at home. The Cardinals have lost three of their last four games. While Arizona had success offensively against the Niners, it was also because Arizona has a ton of possessions in the game.

Chicago is a much better football team than the Cardinals. They’ll prove it on Sunday.

Bet: Bears -4 (-106)

Green Bay Packers vs. Carolina Panthers

The Panthers earned another win in Week 15, knocking off the Falcons, 9-7 in boring fashion.

Carolina has scored no more than 18 points in the last five games. They’ve also added no more than ten points in four of those five games.

While Green Bay has struggled defensively over the last couple of matchups, the Packers should be able to easily outscore the Panthers, even on the road. It’s not like the environment will be loud or anything. The Panthers had tickets sold for .45 cents in their Week 15 game.

If the weather is better, there might be a larger crowd. But that crowd won’t be into it to hurt the Green Bay offense and take them out of rhythm.

Carolina’s Bryce Young has a QBR of 31.9 with nine touchdowns and nine interceptions. The offense hasn’t been consistent at all this season and likely won’t be any better against the Packers. Meanwhile, Jordan Love of the Packers has thrown 25 touchdowns and only 11 interceptions. He’s also tenth in the NFL in yards and has a QBR of 57.8, which is above average.

Therefore, we’re rolling with the Packers over the Panthers. Green Bay will score multiple touchdowns, while the Panthers will get lucky if they earn even one touchdown. That’s how it’s been all season for Carolina.

Bet: Packers -3.5 (-110)
