NFL Week 17 Early Odds, Picks & Predictions (2022)

We’re back with more EV plays for the following week.

Last week, I suggested grabbing the Lions at -2.5 over the Panthers. They’re now -3. I also acknowledged grabbing the Under 50.5 for the Eagles vs. Cowboys game. I didn’t know Jalen Hurts was going to get hurt. But we’re sitting with great value there, as the line is now at 47.5.

Let’s add some Week 17 wagers before Week 16 begins.

Dallas Cowboys vs. Tennessee Titans

I’m not a Cowboys hater. I think that the Eagles could very well defeat the Cowboys this weekend. The Cowboys lost to the Jaguars last weekend, and if they lose to the Eagles this weekend, there’s a good chance that the Titans will start to get more bets on their side at home.

The Titans already have a home game against the Texans. They’re 3-point favorites. As long as the Titans win over the Texans, they’ll start to earn more heavy bets next weekend.

Anytime you can take a home team fighting for a playoff spot, with points, against a team that potentially would lose two in a row, you’ve got to take it.

Bet: Titans +5 (-110)

New York Giants vs. Indianapolis Colts

The Colts are a dumpster fire. They lost to the Vikings after holding a 33-0 lead at halftime last week. The Colts will take on the Los Angeles Chargers with Nick Foles under center this week.

I don’t think Foles will make a difference. I think he’ll be worse than Matt Ryan. So there’s that.

Meanwhile, the Giants will take on the Minnesota Vikings this weekend. No game is a must-win for the Giants, but a win over the Vikings would help them earn a playoff spot.

The Vikings and Giants are both fraudulent. Both teams should probably have a worse record than how they’ve played all season long. But one team has to win. After coming off a massive win against the Colts, this feels like a letdown spot for the Vikings.

The Giants’ line will start to rise when the Giants win and the Colts get crushed this weekend.

Bet: Giants -3 (-110)

Chicago Bears vs. Detroit Lions

If the Chicago Bears can score about 20 points against the Bills, even if they lose, most bettors would view that as a win for the Bears.

Justin Fields is electric and can do many amazing things, especially with his feet. The offense is capable of scoring a whole lot against the Lions. Yes, the Lions have improved defensively over the last couple of months. But the Lions are still not a top-tier defense, no matter what stats you use to try and prove it.

Meanwhile, the Lions will show off against the Panthers a little bit. If that offense has a successful evening, most bettors would be impressed. The Carolina defense isn’t that bad.

If the Bears and Lions score in the 20s this weekend, you can expect this total line to jump up slightly.

Bet: Over 48.5 (-110)
