NFL Week 17 Player Prop Bet Picks & Predictions (2022)

Jelani Woods Over 28.5 Receiving Yards (-115)

Jelani Woods has tallied 98, 28, 36 and 43 receiving yards in his previous four games. Nick Foles made his first start of the 2022 campaign last week, and he peppered Woods with five targets, tied for the second most on the Colts. In addition, per Pro Football Focus (PFF), Woods ran the fourth-most routes (22) for the Colts and paced the tight end room, with Mo Alie-Cox running 15 routes. So, Woods was targeted on a whopping 22.7% of his routes.

This week, Woods should be a popular option for Foles again in an excellent matchup. According to The 33rd Team and data from Sports Info Solutions (SIS), tight ends have torched the Giants for 53.6 receiving yards per game since Week 10. Thus, FantasyPros projects Woods for 31.4 receiving yards.

Tyler Allgeier Over 75.5 Rushing Yards (-115)

The Falcons are 5.5-point favorites against the Cardinals this week, and Arizona is unlikely to beat the Atlanta handily in the event of an upset since David Blough is starting at quarterback. Therefore, the Falcons should be in a good or neutral game script, which means running, running and running some more.

Per numberFire, the Falcons had attempted 81 passes and 80 rushes by non-quarterbacks since Week 10, when the scoring margin ranged from trailing by seven to leading by an infinite amount of points. So, Atlanta wants to run when it can.

Fortunately, the Cardinals won’t provide much resistance. First, according to Football Outsiders, the Cards are 30th in rush defense DVOA since Week 10. Second, running backs have averaged 97.2 rushing yards per game and ripped off 4.9 yards per carry in Arizona’s previous six games.

Allgeier and Atlanta’s offensive line aren’t slouches, either. The rookie running back had his two highest rush-attempt totals in the past two games, toting the rock 17 times for 139 yards in Week 15 and handling 18 attempts for 74 yards in Week 16. Allgeier’s surge in usage coincided with the Falcons coming out of their bye in Week 14. Further, he benefits from running behind Atlanta’s road-grader line, paving the way for him. Per Football Outsiders, the Falcons are fourth in Adjusted Line Yards (4.78). As a result, they should run roughshod over Arizona’s porous run defense, and Allgeier should rush for more than 75.5 yards in Week 17.
