NFL Week 18 Confidence Pool Advice, Picks & Predictions (2023)

In Week 17, we finished 12-4 and jumped over nearly 4,000 entries.

We’ve gone 156-100 through 17 weeks, and now we’re just looking to finish out the year in the top 10,000 of ESPN. That would be ideal knowing there were over 1,000,000 entries!

Let’s finish out the NFL season strong with our Week 18 confidence selections.

NFL Confidence Pool Picks

(1) Giants | Eagles vs. Giants

I’m only doing this because the Eagles could consider benching their starters in Week 18.

(2) Steelers | Steelers vs. Ravens

There’s also no reason to give Lamar Jackson and the Ravens’ starters action in Week 18.

(3) Rams | Rams vs. 49ers

The 49ers won’t have Christian McCaffrey for this game. That could help the 49ers’ decision to sit a bunch of their starters in this game.

(4) Bills | Bills vs. Dolphins

For the AFC East, I’ll back the Bills, who have been much more consistent over the last month.

(5) Cardinals | Seahawks vs. Cardinals

It’ll hurt Arizona’s draft placement, but the Cardinals are playing some excellent football right now. They’ll ruin another team’s chances at the playoffs.

(6) Texans | Texans vs. Colts

Houston is different with C.J. Stroud under center.

(7) Browns | Browns vs. Bengals

Joe Flacco didn’t play the entire first half of the season. But he will get to play in the playoffs regardless of this game’s outcome. Cleveland can’t be overlooked.

(8) Lions | Vikings vs. Lions

Detroit will give their top guys starts in Week 18. That helps the decision after Minnesota turned to Jaren Hall last week. Hall looked terrible in a must-win game. It was a top head-scratcher move by Minnesota.

(9) Jaguars | Jaguars vs. Titans

It sounds like Trevor Lawrence will do whatever he can to play in this game. Jacksonville still hasn’t clinched a playoff spot, so they’ll be ready.

(10) Packers | Bears vs. Packers

A win, and the Packers are in. It won’t be easy against the Bears, who have won four of their last five games, but I think the Packers escape at home.

(11) Raiders | Broncos vs. Raiders

This will be another low-scoring game in which the Raiders somehow come out on top.

(12) Buccaneers | Buccaneers vs. Panthers

At 8-8 in the NFC South, the Buccaneers need this win to make the postseason.

(13) Patriots | Jets vs. Patriots

The Jets haven’t beaten the Patriots in 15 games. Without Zach Wilson, make it 16 on Sunday.

(14) Saints | Falcons vs. Saints

The Saints are tied with the Buccaneers in the NFC South at 8-8. They’ll need this win just as much as Tampa Bay. We’ll see how everything plays out. But you have to win this game to have a chance.

(15) Chiefs | Chiefs vs. Chargers

Kansas City had a down year. But they’ll still have 11 wins once the season ends. That’s still really good.

(16) Cowboys | Cowboys vs. Commanders

Washington is turnover city when Sam Howell starts. It’s unclear if he’ll start over Jacoby Brissett in Week 18.
