NFL Week 2 Early Odds, Picks & Predictions (2023)
While everyone is getting excited about Week 1 of the NFL, I’ve got some best bets for Week 2.
I’m looking for value before the Week 1 games. Line movement is chaotic week after week. I aim to pick the bets that move in our favor after Week 1 concludes.
Here are three Week 2 best bets to consider before the Week 1 Sunday slate even begins.

Green Bay Packers vs. Atlanta Falcons
In Week 1, the Packers are underdogs against the Chicago Bears. Green Bay no longer has Aaron Rodgers to bully Chicago. But the Packers have dominated the Bears throughout the entire decade. I think it’ll continue on Sunday.
Jordan Love is not someone to be excited about. However, the Packers have an interesting receiving core between Christian Watson, Romeo Doubs and Jayden Reed. Luke Musgrave is also an interesting tight end for the Packers, who can potentially put up big numbers.
I don’t trust Chicago’s passing game, and I don’t think they’ll run all over the Packers in Week 1.
If the Packers defeat the Bears, they’ll earn more bets in Week 2’s game against the Falcons. With the Falcons already favored against Carolina, a win for the Falcons wouldn’t change much for Week 2. A loss would help us, though.

Indianapolis Colts vs. Houston Texans
There are so many great stories about Anthony Richardson’s work ethic. I appreciate that. But come on! He went 6-6 with Florida last season. Richardson was inaccurate and didn’t lead the Gators to anything exciting last year. Florida lost to Vanderbilt! Now the Colts will just throw him in the fire in Week 1?
Yeah right.
Meanwhile, the Texans will ultimately lose to the Ravens in Week 1. But C.J. Stroud is likely more ahead of schedule than Richardson regarding surveying defenses and making the right reads.
Give me the Texans in Week 2. Once everyone realizes Richardson isn’t ready, they’ll hop on the Texans, too.

New York Jets vs. Dallas Cowboys
What happens when the Jets beat the Bills, and the Giants upset the Cowboys in Week 1?
The Jets will fall from that +3 line and likely be +2.5 or even +1.5.
I’m a New York fan this weekend. The Jets defeated the Bills with Zach Wilson under center in one game last year. Meanwhile, the Giants have built a contending team, and the only way to win the NFC East is by beating other teams in the NFC East.
Let’s grab the Jets at +3. When those two New York teams earn wins in Week 1, you’ll be happy you did.
