NFL Week 2 First Touchdown Scorer Odds, Picks & Predictions

Who will score the first touchdown in this week’s NFL Games? The First TD market covers the first player who carries or receives the ball into the end zone in a game, not the QB who passes the ball. We compare first touchdown stats to prop bet odds to help identify today’s best bets. View First Touchdown odds across sportsbooks here.

Las Vegas Raiders @ Baltimore Ravens

Mark Andrews played 74% of the snaps but only received two targets against the Chiefs. The game script did not go his way, but it is much better this week. He played almost three-quarters of his snaps from the slot and ran a route on 70% of his snaps. Andrews was on the field for much of the game, so there is no need to worry. He should be involved a lot this week, especially when the Raiders are in single-high coverage.

Pick: Mark Andrews (+1200 via FanDuel Sportsbook)

New Orleans Saints @ Dallas Cowboys

The Saints had a cakewalk last week against the Panthers. They only allowed 193 total yards and forced three turnovers. The Cowboys will give them a much harder look this week. CeeDee Lamb had 10 targets last week and turned it into five catches for 61 yards against Cleveland. He added three rushing attempts for 25 yards, which shows how much they want to get him the ball. The touchdown did not come last week, but I bet it does at home.

Pick: CeeDee Lamb (+600 via FanDuel Sportsbook)

Los Angeles Chargers @ Carolina Panthers

The Panthers looked like the worst team in football last week. They could barely move the football and did not score a touchdown until the third quarter. They also allowed 180 rushing to the Saints. Gus Edwards played 42% of snaps, and Dobbins 58%. Edwards received one more attempt, but Dobbins had two more targets and ran more routes. It is a true timeshare, and both players have similar odds, so I will side with the more efficient player.

Pick: J.K. Dobbins (+750 via DraftKings Sportsbook )

Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Detroit Lions

St. Brown only had three catches for 13 yards on six targets in week one. It was a shocking stat line for the young receiver coming off a stellar season. The Buccaneers' secondary is banged up right now. Antoine Winfield is doubtful to play, and Tykee Smith and Zyon McCollum are questionable. He will be more involved this week, especially with the emergence of Jameson Williams.

Pick: Amon-Ra St. Brown (+750 via FanDuel Sportsbook )

Indianapolis Colts @ Green Bay Packers

The Packers will likely be without Jordan Love this week, but he has not been ruled out yet. Taylor played 96% of snaps and had 48 yards on 16 attempts. The Packers got gashed by Saquon Barkley in week one, so it is a good matchup for Taylor. Anthony Richardson could steal a rushing touchdown from him, but he only completed nine of 19 pass attempts. The Colts should continue to run the ball to set up deep passes. Taylor is a solid play, especially at this number.

Pick: Jonathan Taylor (+600 via FanDuel Sportsbook)

San Francisco 49ers @ Minnesota Vikings

Samuel received nine targets and eight carries last week without Christian McCaffrey. Three of those carries and one target came inside the red zone. The Vikings played the Giants in week one and allowed 240 total yards. They allowed 166 passing yards to Daniel Jones, picked him off twice, and sacked him five times. The 49ers' should be a harder challenge, and Samuel will be the beneficiary, with McCaffrey listed as questionable.

Pick: Deebo Samuel Jr. (+750 via FanDuel Sportsbook)

New York Jets @ Tennessee Titans

Wilson received 11 targets last week and was on the field for 96% of snaps. The Jets only ran 51 snaps on offense, and Wilson was targeted on 21% of snaps. Aaron Rodgers was looking his way early and often, and that should not change this week. L'Jarius Sneed could present problems for him when covering him this week, but the Jets do a good job of moving him around the formation. Rodgers will get him in the right spot and throw him the ball.

Pick: Garrett Wilson (Odds: +950 via FanDuel Sportsbook)

Seattle Seahawks @ New England Patriots

Kenneth Walker and Tyler Lockett are questionable against the Patriots, who held the Bengals to 224 total yards in week one. The Seahawks only allowed 99 rushing yards against the Broncos last week but were able to load the box against Bo Nix, who was making his first start. Stevenson received 25 attempts and ran for 120 yards and a touchdown in week one. He played 78% of snaps and ranked first in missed tackles forced in the league last week. He should receive plenty of opportunities to score in this matchup.

Pick: Rhamondre Stevenson (+500 via DraftKings Sportsbook)

Cleveland Browns @ Jacksonville Jaguars

The Browns struggled last week, and Deshaun Watson struggled to complete passes. Cooper received nine targets while playing 95% of snaps. The Jaguars got torched by the Dolphins last week. They allowed 319 passing yards last week and an 80-yard touchdown to Tyreek Hill. Cooper should have a good matchup, but Watson needs to throw him a catchable pass.

Pick: Amari Cooper (+1000 via DraftKings Sportsbook)

New York Giants @ Washington Commanders

Nabers has a great matchup this week against the Commanders. He played 100% of snaps and received seven targets last week. The Commanders allowed 280 passing yards last week to the Buccaneers and allowed four passing touchdowns. Nabers will find himself open a lot this week, and it is up to Jones to get him the ball. Nabers will have a good week if Jones does not implode.

Pick: Malik Nabers (+950 via FanDuel Sportsbook )

Los Angeles Rams @ Arizona Cardinals

The Rams allowed 163 rushing yards last week against the Lions on 5.3 yards per rush. They had trouble getting any push against the Lions, which should be a good sign for Conner. He played 67% of snaps and received 16 attempts for 50 yards and a TD with four targets. The Cardinals should exploit this defensive front and get Conner the ball early to establish the run.

Pick: James Conner (Odds: +600 via DraftKings Sportsbook)

Cincinnati Bengals @ Kansas City Chiefs

Kelce did not have a great game last week but did not need one. Xavier Worthy had a couple of big plays and scored twice, which affected Kelce's output. The Bengals allowed the most receptions to tight ends last week, and the problem persists. They only allowed 15 completions last week, and four were to tight ends. Patrick Mahomes should find Kelce open more this week, especially in the red zone when the field gets smaller.

Pick: Travis Kelce (+850 via FanDuel Sportsbook)

Pittsburgh Steelers @ Denver Broncos

The Steelers failed to score a touchdown last week, but they still won. He played 59% of snaps and had 20 attempts for 70 yards. He also received five attempts in the red zone. The Broncos allowed 146 rushing yards last week to the Seahawks on 4.4 yards per rush. The Steelers should establish the run early with Justin Fields as the quarterback. Harris will receive the goal-line carries and has a great opportunity to score first this week.

Pick: Najee Harris (+800 via DraftKings Sportsbook)
