NFL Week 3 Monday Night Football Same Game Parlay Predictions (Cowboys vs. Giants)

Last week we had two Monday Night Football matchups. Unfortunately, both were blowouts and hard to watch. The Buffalo Bills won 41-7 over the Tennessee Titans in a game where both starting quarterbacks didn’t play in the fourth quarter. Sadly the later game between the Minnesota Vikings and Philadelphia Eagles wasn’t much better. Jalen Hurts was unstoppable in the passing game and on the ground as the Eagles won 24-7.

Thankfully tonight’s matchup should be a close contest. The Dallas Cowboys head to New York to take on the Giants. It likely won’t be a high-scoring game, but it should remain close between these two NFC East divisional rivals.

Let’s look at a three-leg parlay that bettors should consider making.

NFL Week 3 Monday Night Football Same Game Parlay Predictions (Cowboys vs. Giants)

Sterling Shepard 4+ Receptions (-245)

Somehow the Giants are 2-0 despite having arguably the worst receiving core in the NFL. Kenny Golladay played two snaps last week. Furthermore, rookie Wan’Dale Robinson will miss his second straight game with a knee injury, while Kadarius Toney is listed as doubtful with a hamstring injury. Meanwhile, Shepard had a team-high six receptions and 10 targets last week. He also leads the team in targets over the first two weeks of the season.

Tonight’s matchup is appealing for Shepard. According to PFF, the veteran receiver lines up mostly in the slot and has a positive matchup against the Cowboys’ slot cornerback, Jourdan Lewis. Furthermore, Shepard has a good matchup against every Dallas defensive back, according to PFF. More importantly, he has always been a go-to target for Daniel Jones. The veteran receiver has averaged 5.6 receptions per game over his past 11 contests with Jones under center. With a lack of alternatives, expect Jones to look Shepard’s way often in this game.

Tony Pollard 15+ Receiving Yards (-205)

While Ezekiel Elliott is the lead back for the Cowboys, Pollard’s role has grown over the past year. In Week 1, he had 14 receiving yards on two receptions. However, the Cowboys made it a priority to get Pollard the ball in their 20-17 win last week. The fourth-year back had seven targets, pulling in four for 55 receiving yards while also getting nine rushing attempts. More importantly, Pollard’s seven targets were the second-most on the team and only four fewer than CeeDee Lamb.

Defensively, the Giants have played well this season, giving up only 18 points per contest. However, the one area they have struggled with is covering running backs in the passing game. New York has given up 87 receiving yards to running backs over the first two weeks of the year, the 11th most in the NFL. Meanwhile, the Cowboys have limited receiving threats outside of Lamb. While Michael Gallup should make his season debut tonight, he is coming off a torn ACL from last year. Expect the Cowboys to design at least 3-4 passing players to get the ball in Pollard’s hands.

Daniel Jones Under 194.5 Passing Yards (+130)

There were six teams, undefeated teams, over the first two weeks, including the Giants. The other five teams averaged 283.9 passing yards per game, while Jones has averaged only 182 passing yards per game this season. He has thrown for under 190 yards in both games. Furthermore, Jones averaged 220.7 passing yards per game last season, throwing for under 170 yards in 27.3% of the games. Moreover, he has averaged 219.1 passing yards per game in his career. In short, Jones isn’t a very good quarterback.

Meanwhile, the Cowboys have defended the pass well this season, giving up an average of 205.5 passing yards per game. Furthermore, despite facing two of the better quarterbacks in the NFL, Tom Brady and Joe Burrow, Dallas held both to under 215 passing yards. They have given up the eighth-fewest passing yards this season. More importantly, the Cowboys have held Jones to only 155.2 passing yards per game in five career matchups. Between the tough matchup and a lack of weapons, Jones will have his 15th career game with under 191 passing yards tonight.

Three-Leg Parlay Odds: +475
