NFL Week 4 Confidence Pool Advice, Picks & Predictions (2023)

The Dallas loss to the Cardinals was embarrassing. But even after a poor pick like that, through three weeks, we’re 32-16 with 284 points. Via ESPN, these picks have ranked 2,685 worldwide.

Let’s try and get higher in the rankings with Week 4’s confidence picks in the NFL.

NFL Confidence Pool Picks

(1) Texans | Steelers vs. Texans

The Texans just added 37 points on the Jacksonville Jaguars last weekend. C.J. Stroud is the only rookie quarterback who isn’t hurt, but he’s also looked much better week-to-week. The Steelers will be a challenge defensively, but I still think the Texans can outscore the Steelers in this game.

(2) Bills | Dolphins vs. Bills

The Dolphins dominated the Broncos with 70 points on offense. That won’t happen against the Bills. Buffalo’s defense was dominant last weekend and will battle the Dolphins in an expected nail-biter.

(3) Bears | Broncos vs. Bears

If Justin Fields and the Chicago Bears don’t figure it out against the Broncos’ defense, forget it. At home, I’ll take the Bears to escape the Broncos.

(4) Buccaneers | Buccaneers vs. Saints

We don’t know the status of Derek Carr just yet. New Orleans also couldn’t find ways to score with Jameis Winston last weekend. Instead, the Saints blew a 17-point lead. I’ll test my luck with the Buccaneers.

(5) Seahawks| Seahawks vs. Giants

This should be an exciting Monday Night Football game between the Seahawks and the Giants. So far, New York hasn’t proven they can win consistently this season.

(6) Lions | Lions vs. Packers

I’m not confident that the Lions will win over the Packers, especially if Aaron Jones and Christian Watson return to the field. But I’ll trust Jared Goff and the Lions’ offense to do their thing.

(7) Jaguars | Falcons vs. Jaguars

The Falcons began the season 2-0. But don’t be surprised if they finish the season with less than six wins.

(8) Ravens | Ravens vs. Browns

The Browns are terrific defensively. But the offense just hasn’t been consistent enough. Baltimore hasn’t been much better, but in a rivalry game, the Ravens have more pieces to win in this one.

(9) Bengals | Bengals vs. Titans

Joe Burrow played for the Bengals on Monday Night Football and helped Cincinnati win against the Rams. Now he’ll have another five days to recover until it’s gameday again.

(10) Rams | Rams vs. Colts

I’m assuming Anthony Richardson will be back this week for the Colts. After Richardson was in concussion protocol, he might tone down the running a bit. What he did in college won’t work in the pros. If he continues to run wild, he’ll be on the sidelines a lot in his career.

(11) Vikings | Vikings vs. Panthers

It’s unclear if Andy Dalton will start over an injured Bryce Young this weekend. It’ll all depend on Young’s health and availability. Either way, Minnesota’s not tanking away the season for Caleb Williams. They’ve got way too much talent to be doing that.

(12) Cowboys | Patriots vs. Cowboys

Dallas’ wake-up call came at a good time. They’ll be ready to go against New England at home this weekend.

(13) Chargers | Raiders vs. Chargers

The Chargers lost Mike Williams for the rest of the season. But Keenan Allen is putting up numbers for two. Maybe Quentin Johnson will shine to begin his rookie season.

(14) Eagles | Commanders vs. Eagles

The Commanders started the season red-hot but came back to life last weekend. Philadelphia’s got one of the best defenses in the NFL. Washington will struggle to protect Sam Howell again.

(15) Chiefs | Chiefs vs. Jets

As long as the Jets start Zach Wilson, you can fade them.

(16) 49ers | Cardinals vs. 49ers

The 49ers will make any team look like a level below them.
