Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Indianapolis Colts
The Pittsburgh Steelers havenât allowed more than ten points in any of the first three games this season. The defense has held opponents to 184 yards passing and just 76.50 yards on the ground per game. Yet, the Steelers turnover differential this year is currently -2.5, and the Steelers have only scored 15.50 points per game because of it.
While Justin Fields is developing, heâs still not playing at a high level throwing the football. His QBR is currently 46.9, which is 22nd in the NFL. In addition, heâs recorded just 518 yards passing in three games and has just two passing touchdowns. His running ability is special and will be used as a weapon against the Colts. But without major plays down the field in the passing game, donât expect the Steelers to light up the scoreboard.
On the other hand, the Colts are getting horrible quarterback play from Anthony Richardson. Richardson has thrown six interceptions in three games. The team has also averaged below 200 yards a game in the air and have earned 122 yards on the ground.
Neither team can be effective in the air. The Steelers should be better on the ground, but as long as both teams run the ball, the clock will tick off quickly. Letâs roll with the Under.
Pick: Under 39 (-110)
Cleveland Browns vs. Las Vegas Raiders
The Cleveland Browns just lost a home game to the New York Giants. Ultimately, we donât know every teamâs identity through three weeks. But itâs more than likely that the Giants will be a bottom-tier team in the NFL this season.
The Browns might join them.
Cleveland has averaged 17.5 points per game and has added just 154.50 yards passing with only 109 yards rushing per game this season. Deshaun Watson has completed only 57.8% of passes this season, and the Browns havenât found much consistency in the run game behind Jerome Ford and DâOnta Foreman.
Meanwhile, the Raiders followed up a road win against the Ravens by allowing 36 points to the winless Carolina Panthers. The Raiders werenât ready for Andy Dalton. The preparation wasnât there, and some guys took off plays in the second half, per HC Antonio Pierce.
Look for the Raiders to at least be better defensively next week against the Browns. Itâs hard not to find success against Watson and the Browns right now.
Iâll grab the Under in this game as well.
Pick: Under 37.5 (-110)
