NFL Week 4 Pick’em Pool Predictions (2024)

It’s been a wild start to the 2024 NFL season. The San Francisco 49ers are 1-2, the Cincinnati Bengals and Jacksonville Jaguars are both 0-3 and the Carolina Panthers just beat the Las Vegas Raiders one week after the Raiders took down the Baltimore Ravens in Baltimore. My head is spinning as I try to make sense of everything heading into a difficult-to-pick Week 4 where eight games have spreads tighter than a field goal.

Here is our best NFL pick’em advice for Week 4.

NFL Week 4 Pick’em Pool Predictions (2024)

Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Indianapolis Colts

The Steelers finally picked up a two-possession win, taking down the Los Angeles Chargers by a final score of 20-10. The defense continued to be absolutely incredible, holding the Chargers to just 168 yards of offense. With that in mind, how is Anthony Richardson going to do anything in this game?

Richardson has already thrown six interceptions this season and he’s completed 50% or fewer of his passes in all three games. Though the Steelers didn’t force a turnover last week, they forced multiple in each of their first two games, and they’ve already accumulated five.

The Steelers’ offense has been far from perfect, but the defense is so good they don’t need to do much. As long as Justin Fields continues to play within himself, the Steelers are going to win this game. And if Russell Wilson is somehow under center for this game, the same rule applies.

Pick: Steelers

Cleveland Browns vs. Las Vegas Raiders

What an embarrassing performance by the Raiders last week. One week after mounting a miraculous comeback over the Ravens, they got demolished at home by the Panthers. If it weren’t for the final 10 minutes against Baltimore, many would likely be calling this team the worst in football.

And then there’s the Browns. Deshaun Watson had one of his better games throwing the ball, but he was sacked eight times and lost two fumbles. And the secondary, which was supposed to great coming into this season, allowed Malik Nabers to catch eight passes for 78 yards and two touchdowns.

The Raiders are the home team and favored by one point in what is essentially a pick’em. But we’re going to take the road team just because they have more potential. The Raiders don’t really have any upside. If it wasn’t for the Ravens imploding, they’d likely be three- or four-point underdogs in this game. Take the Browns, but understand this is truly a coin flip.

Pick: Browns

Tennessee Titans vs. Miami Dolphins

There are two Monday Night Football games this week, and this one is absolutely putrid. Without Tua Tagovailoa, the Dolphins’ offense is a mess. Meanwhile, Will Levis has made one bonehead play after another as the Titans have fallen to 0-3. While many viewers will skip this game, you still have to make a pick for your pick’em pool.

As hard as it is to do, I’m taking the Dolphins to win this game. They are more talented on both sides of the ball, and though the quarterback situation is a nightmare, it isn’t much better in Tennessee. Whoever gets under center for the Dolphins just needs to get the ball in the hands of playmakers. The defense should be able to do the rest.

Pick: Dolphins

Seattle Seahawks vs. Detroit Lions

In back-to-back years, the Seahawks have gone to Ford Field and taken care of business against the Lions. In 2022, the game ended up deciding which of these two teams would go to the playoffs. Last year, the Lions were unable to get revenge, ultimately falling in overtime.

This season, the Seahawks enter undefeated with a chance to pick up a season-defining win. But are the Seahawks really that good? They barely beat the Denver Broncos and New England Patriots in the first two weeks. Then they beat up on the injury-riddled Miami Dolphins in Week 3.

Geno Smith has been excellent against the Lions over the last two seasons, but the Lions’ secondary is much improved. Plus, as the Seahawks deal with offensive line issues, Smith may end up on his back a lot in this game. On the other side of the ball, the Lions have a clear advantage when it comes to running the ball. The third time’s the charm for the Lions, as they move to 3-1 before their bye.

Pick: Lions
