NFL Week 4 Weather Report: Advice & Predictions (2023)

(All forecasts courtesy of AccuWeather.com)

Atlanta Falcons vs. Jacksonville Jaguars (-3), Total 43.5

Forecast: 71 degrees, 10% chance of precipitation

Wind speed: 9-12 MPG

Our first game of the season overseas in London’s Wembley Stadium will see rather pleasant conditions, variable skies and a slight breeze. The teams shouldn’t be bothered much.

Miami Dolphins at Buffalo Bills (-3), Total 53.5

Forecast: 72 degrees, 10% chance of precipitation

Wind speed: 5-7 MPH

For Western New York, this is a beautiful forecast. The temperatures will be perfect, there is little chance of rain and the breeze off of Lake Erie will be rather minimal. Expect a fast track.

Minnesota Vikings (-4) at Carolina Panthers, Total 45.5

Forecast: 76 degrees, 0% chance of precipitation

Wind speed: 7-9 MPH

The weather in the Queen City will be pleasant, and we won’t see any chance of precipitation, with very mild winds in this battle of winless teams.

Denver Broncos (-3.5) at Chicago Bears, Total 46

Forecast: 75 degrees, 5% chance of precipitation

Wind speed: 5-7 MPH

The Broncos and Bears are both looking to rebound from blowouts, and both teams will find dry, quick conditions with very little wind to hinder the passing games.

Baltimore Ravens at Cleveland Browns (-2.5), Total 40.5

Forecast: 73 degrees, 10% chance of precipitation

Wind speed: 5-9 MPH

This AFC North battle will see rather optimal conditions on the shores of Lake Erie. Last week, we saw breezy conditions off the lake, but the sun will shine on both teams Sunday with minimal weather effects.

Pittsburgh Steelers (-3) at Houston Texans, Total 41.5

Forecast: Indoors

Wind speed: This game is played in a dome.

The Steelers are on the road for a second straight week, and Pittsburgh is indoors for a second straight game, too, looking to cool off the red-hot rookies QB C.J. Stroud and WR Tank Dell.

Los Angeles Rams at Indianapolis Colts (-1.5), Total 46.5

Forecast: Indoors

Wind speed: This game is played in a dome.

The Rams and Colts play in controlled conditions at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. Los Angeles is on the road for a second straight game, playing on a short week.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at New Orleans Saints (-3), Total 40.5

Forecast: Indoors

Wind speed: This game is played in a dome.

The Saints welcome the Bucs to town for an NFC South showdown in the Big Easy. QB Jameis Winston gets a crack at his original team, with QB Derek Carr nursing a sprained AC joint.

Washington Commanders at Philadelphia Eagles (-8.5), Total 43.5

Forecast: 74 degrees, 0% chance of precipitation

Wind speed: 7-9 MPH

The weather can be nasty in the Northeast corridor at this time of year. While the home fans might not be terribly pleasant to the visitors, at least the conditions will be nice while getting the finger.

Cincinnati Bengals (-2.5) at Tennessee Titans, Total 41

Forecast: 83 degrees, 0% chance of precipitation

Wind speed: 4-7 MPH

It will be rather toasty in the Music City, with temperatures flirting with the mid-80’s. Perhaps cramping could be an issue for some, but the conditions will be optimal otherwise.

Las Vegas Raiders at Los Angeles Chargers (-5.5), Total 48.5

Forecast: Indoors

Wind speed: This game is played in a dome.

The Raiders and Chargers will be slinging it around SoFi Stadium in controlled conditions in this important AFC West Division battle.

New England Patriots at Dallas Cowboys (-6.5), Total 43.5

Forecast: Indoors

Wind speed: This game is played in a dome.

The big news here isn’t the weather, as the game is playing inside. We get fan favorite RB Ezekiel Elliott making his return to the Metroplex.

Arizona Cardinals at San Francisco 49ers (-14), Total 44.5

Forecast: 71 degrees, 0% chance of precipitation

Wind speed: 8-11 MPH

Mark Twain once said, “The coldest winter I ever spent was the summer in San Francisco.” Even Twain would be in shorts and a t-shirt for Sunday’s game, as conditions will be wonderful.

Kansas City Chiefs (-9.5) at New York Jets, Total 42.5

Forecast: 67 degrees, 3% chance of precipitation

Wind speed: 4-7 MPH

The Chiefs head to the Meadowlands for “Sunday Night Football.” There will be temperatures in the upper 60’s, mostly clear conditions and a 0% chance of effective play from QB Zach Wilson.

Seattle Seahawks at New York Giants (-1.5), Total 47.5

Forecast: 68 degrees, 5% chance of precipitation

Wind speed: 3-6 MPH

For the second time this season, we get primetime games in back-to-back nights in East Rutherford, N.J. The Giants will enjoy much better conditions than that rainy, ugly night against the Dallas Cowboys earlier.
