NFL Week 5 Confidence Pool Advice, Picks & Predictions (2023)
We’ve gone 46-18 through five weeks with 408 points with our NFL confidence picks.
We selected 14 of 16 games correctly last weekend and are now ranked 398th in an ESPN group of nearly 1 million people.
Hopefully, you all have paid attention!
Here are the picks for Week 5.
NFL Confidence Pool Picks
(1) Titans | Titans vs. Colts
The Titans looked great against the Bengals last weekend, but the Colts have played back-to-back overtime games and have stayed competitive. At home, give me the Colts.
(2) Saints | Saints vs. Patriots
This game figures to be a defensive battle. However, the Saints truly have more offensive firepower and talent on the roster. I like the Saints to escape with the victory.
(3) 49ers | Cowboys vs. 49ers
It’s hard to go undefeated in this league. Dallas had a wake-up call against the Cardinals and will likely make things challenging for the Niners. I’ll still take the Niners but at a low confidence number.
(4) Raiders | Packers vs. Raiders
Jordan Love is going to have his hiccups with the Packers. With the likelihood that Jimmy Garoppolo will return to the field this weekend, the Raiders have some potential against Green Bay.
(5) Eagles | Eagles vs. Rams
Philadelphia is improving week by week, but a road game against the Rams could be a slight trap. What if Cooper Kupp comes back? I’ll play it safe.
(6) Bengals | Bengals vs. Cardinals
The Bengals’ offense will snap out of it in this one.
(7) Commanders | Bears vs. Commanders
Chicago came close to beating the Broncos last weekend, but they played conservatively in the second half and blew a 21-point lead. I’ll take those pesky Commanders.
(8) Jets | Jets vs. Broncos
The New York Jets might have a competent quarterback after all!
(9) Texans | Texans vs. Falcons
The Texans also have their franchise quarterback. How good has C.J. Stroud been?
(10) Chiefs | Chiefs vs. Vikings
Kansas City escaped last weekend against the Jets after Zach Wilson put on an absolute show. That’s the Patrick Mahomes effect. If the Vikings keep turning the ball over, the Chiefs will win this one.
(11) Bills | Jaguars vs. Bills
The Bills proved how good they are against the Dolphins last weekend. Don’t sleep on Buffalo. Despite that weird Week 1 loss to the Jets, they’re a Super Bowl contender.
(12) Ravens | Ravens vs. Steelers
The Steelers will make some changes this week. Some believe the offensive coordinator, Matt Canada, will get canned. Give me the Ravens here. Pittsburgh’s incompetent right now.
(13) Lions | Panthers vs. Lions
Detroit’s getting extra rest for a bout against the 0-4 Panthers. That’s huge.
(14) Giants | Giants vs. Dolphins
New York was sacked 11 times on Monday Night. Daniel Jones also had two massive turnovers that effectively lost the Giants their game. The offense is garbage. Miami’s offense isn’t.
