NFL Week 5 Early Parlay Odds, Picks & Predictions (2023)

Coming off of a Week 3 winning parlay, I was feeling pretty good about Week 4 but ended up going 0-3. It’s time to bounce back this go-around!

Here is my favorite early Week 5 parlay:

NFL Week 5 Early Parlay

Leg 1: Jacksonville Jaguars +5.5 @ Buffalo Bills (-112)

The Buffalo Bills will host the Jacksonville Jaguars this week in London, England. The Jaguars are coming off a convincing win against the Atlanta Falcons in a game also played in London. This is the first time in NFL history that a team has played back–to–back games in London, so there is no real precedent to know whether or not this is an advantage for Jacksonville. Logically, it seems like having the extra week to prepare and adjust should benefit them at least somewhat.

The Bills are coming off one of the most dominant games of the season so far against a Miami Dolphins team that had looked to be one of the best teams in the league up until Week 4. Traveling to London after the amount of effort put forward to beat their division rival in Week 4 has me concerned about a letdown game for the Bills.

Leg 2: New York Jets @ Denver Broncos Over 43.5 (-110)

Call this the Nathaniel Hackett bowl. There was a lot of bad blood between these two teams this offseason after Denver Broncos coach Sean Payton referred to Hackett's work in Denver as "one of the worst coaching jobs in the history of the NFL."

This may be recency bias, but it feels like the New York Jets offense may finally have a bit of life. Zach Wilson had a decent game Sunday night against the Kansas City Chiefs defense that ranked inside the top 10 going into the game. Having even a bit of faith in Wilson is brand new to this team, so there is reason to believe their confidence without Rodgers can be at an all-time high this week. Believing some in Wilson, combined with wanting to stick it to Sean Payton, makes me believe they will be trying to score some points to showcase Hackett's offensive prowess.

The Denver Broncos offense has actually looked pretty decent so far this year. They scored 17 points in the fourth quarter to comeback this week against the Chicago Bears. Yet, their defense allowed 28 points from that same Chicago Bears offence that has looked awful all year. The Broncos defense alone is almost enough to take the over 42.5 this week.

Leg 3: New Orleans Saints @ New England Patriots -1.0 (-105)

I have been really struggling with this New England Patriots team all year. I keep telling myself it’s Bill Belichick, they can't be an awful team. Hearing some NFL media give takes on how Belichick might have been carried by Tom Brady and insinuating that he might not be a good coach after New England looked bad against Dallas just feels wrong to me. Maybe I'm just late to the realization, but I can't believe that Belichick isn't a good enough coach to, at a minimum, make a bad team mediocre.

The New Orleans Saints only managed to score three field goals against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 4, not reaching the end zone once. Saints quarterback Derek Carr is also still dealing with a painful shoulder injury.

I can't imagine living in a world where Belichick can't coach his team at home to cover 1.5 points against a banged-up Carr–led New Orleans Saints team.

Three-Leg Parlay Odds: +611
