NFL Week 5 First Touchdown Scorer Prop Bets: Sunday Night Football (Bengals vs. Ravens)

Cincinnati Bengals First TD Scorer: Ja’Marr Chase (WR) +350

The second-year player is the best receiver on his team and one of the best in the NFL. Chase leads the team with eight red zone targets and is tied for first with two receiving touchdowns. Meanwhile, the first touchdown of the game the Ravens have surrendered has been a passing score in three of the four games this season. All three have come from inside the 10-yard line. Furthermore, the Baltimore secondary has struggled this season, especially against defending the big play. Chase led the Bengals in receiving touchdowns last year with 13. Expect the second-year receiver to have a massive performance against the Ravens.

Baltimore Ravens First TD Scorer: J.K. Dobbins (RB) +320

Last week Dobbins scored two touchdowns against the Buffalo Bills, including a one-yard receiving touchdown to start the game. While he didn’t play last year because of a torn ACL, Dobbins had two rushing touchdowns in his previous matchup against the Bengals on only 13 rushing attempts. Meanwhile, the Cincinnati defense has played well this season, giving up only four touchdowns in four games. However, three have been to running backs, including two first scores. Najee Harris had the first touchdown in the Week 1 matchup, while Chase Edmonds had the first score last week. With Rashod Bateman unable to play tonight, the Ravens will need to lean on Dobbins and the running game even more than usual.
