    NFL Week 5 Best Parlays

    (Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)

    Parlay #1

    • Leg 1: New York Jets (+124)
    • Leg 2: Washington Commanders (-166)
    • Leg 3: Houston Texans (-105)

The New York Jets are coming off a brutal loss to the Denver Broncos. New York kicked themselves for many penalties, mainly due to the offense’s cadence. Look for this Jets team to reset against a 4-0 Vikings team and knock off Sam Darnold as some payback for not playing nearly as well with them.

Meanwhile, it’s hard to imagine the Browns can keep up with the Commanders’ offense. Washington has been excellent offensively under Jayden Daniels, and the Browns have struggled to find any consistency with Deshaun Watson. Additionally, the Commanders are home with a lot of hype surrounding them.

Lastly, consider the Texans. I know everyone will want to choose the Bills. But analytically, the Texans have been more consistent on both sides of the ball. The penalties on the offense need to stop, but at home, there should at least be fewer penalties. We also could see Joe Mixon and Tank Dell back in action.

    Parlay #2

    • Leg 1: Miami Dolphins  (-110)
    • Leg 2: Indianapolis Colts (+124)
    • Leg 3: Denver Broncos (-148)

The Miami Dolphins will try Snoop Huntley one more time at quarterback. Mike McDaniel has really struggled to win games without Tua Tagovailoa, but that’s a bit overblown. The Patriots have struggled to find an offensive rhythm, and Miami clearly has more offensive talent.

I’ll also bite on the Colts. Jacksonville is 0-4, and Doug Pederson continues to fight back because he’s lost the locker room. Jacksonville was gifted a win against Houston last weekend and still couldn’t finish the job. Look, I’d rather Joe Flacco under center for the Colts. But even Anthony Richardson will do.

Finally, Bo Nix and the Broncos look much better after the last two games. Nix hasn’t thrown an interception in two weeks and is just following the game plan. He beat the Buccaneers with precision and made sure not to turn the ball over against the Jets in a defensive victory. This guy gets it. Against a drama-led Raiders, I’m all over the Broncos at home.
