NFL Week 5 Sleeper Picks Player Predictions (2024)
Welcome to Sleeper Picks! Sleeperâs newest offering promised plenty of entertainment and action, and they delivered. We will break down our top three picks for this week's NFL action. Similar to fantasy sports, the goal in Sleeper Picks is to draft a team of players based on who you think will perform better than the field. But with Sleeper Picks, you pick teams of 2-8 players from multiple teams based on your preferences and predict whether those players will score more or less than a predetermined amount. There are a number of ways to play and a variety of strategies to employ, and weâll guide you through the process each week.

NFL Week 5 Sleeper Picks
2024 Record: 7-5
Derrick Henry (RB â BAL): OVER 74.5 rushing yards (alt line)
Derrick Henry is finally being utilized by the Baltimore Ravens. They have expanded their under center package to help Henry flourish, and the results have been devastating (for the other teams). I like Henry to go over 100 rushing yards again this weekend but there is no way I am tapping the More on 89.5 after he has been posted between 63.5 and 73.5 for the first four weeks of the season. With that in mind, I tapped the alt line of 74.5, which dropped the multiplier from 1.82x to 1.48x. Henry has rushed for 84 or more yards in three straight games and hit 151 or more in each of his last two. The Bengals have been struggling all year and are going to get hammered if they canât jump out to an early lead, leading to negative gamescript for Henry getting workhorse carries. Dap the More of King Henry for Week 5.
Nico Collins (WR â HOU): OVER 49.5 receiving yards (alt line)
Once the alt lines start, they donât stop. Nico is listed at 83.5, which he will still top in all likelihood, but why work with such a high number for no reason? Sleeper Picks gives alt lines as an option, and since early season is for bankroll building, we will take an alt line. The multiplier drops precipitously to 1.15x, but we drop the number from a high probability 83.5 to a near lock at 49.5. Nico has recorded 86 or more receiving yards in every game this season but his lowest output came in another Stefon Diggs revenge game where Stroud made sure to get Diggs going early. There is a strong likelihood they follow the same path this week. Hit the 83.5 if you are feeling froggy, but tap the 49.5 for a multiplier builder in a two play or more environment. Clap the More on Collins for Week 5.
Kareem Hunt (RB â KC): OVER 35.5 rushing yards
The More on Nabers is my weekly play, but he is still in concussion protocol, making it unlikely that he will suit up this weekend. Kareem Hunt was forced into a larger role than initially anticipated in Week 4 as rookie Carson Steele put the pill on the ground. Hunt ended the day with 69 rushing yards on 14 carries and should have roughly the same amount of carries against Buffalo, even when Steele gets more than two carries. 35.5 rushing yards is low enough that he should top this number even with just 10 carries. Hit the More on Hunt for Week 5 against the New Orleans Saints.
Writers note: The lines are constantly changing on Sleeper, so there is a high probability that one or all of the numbers may no longer be the same when you open your app. There are excellent values when they are first posted, with the only catch being that they are not all released at the same time. Vigilance could provide a solid return on investment this season, literally.
