NFL Week 5 Weather Report: Advice & Predictions (2023)

We’re on to Week 5 of the 2023 NFL regular season, and the bye weeks are kicking in. The Cleveland Browns, Los Angeles Chargers, Seattle Seahawks and Tampa Bay Buccaneers get the week off to rest their bumps and bruises.

We also have just six games being played outdoors, with five of those games in North America and one in Europe. The weather will be rather pleasant for the second consecutive weekend, too.

Let’s look at the Week 5 weather report.

NFL Week 5 Weather Report: Advice & Predictions (2023)

(All forecasts courtesy of AccuWeather.com)

Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Buffalo Bills (-5.5), Total 48.5

Forecast: 75 degrees, 0% chance of precipitation

Wind speed: 5-7 MPH

For the second consecutive week, the Jaguars are playing an International Game in the United Kingdom, and apparently, they brought the warm temperatures to Jolly Ol’ England with them.

Houston Texans at Atlanta Falcons (-1.5), Total 41.5

Forecast: Indoors

Wind speed: This game is played in a dome.

The surprisingly high-octane Texans pass attack, led by rookie QB C.J. Stroud, goes up against the solid defense of the Falcons under controlled conditions in the ATL.

Carolina Panthers at Detroit Lions (-9.5), Total 43.5

Forecast: Indoors

Wind speed: This game is played in a dome.

It hasn’t mattered where the Panthers have played; the offense has mostly been moribund. The Lions have some injury woes, but at least they’ll be comfortable under the roof.

Tennessee Titans (-2.5) at Indianapolis Colts, Total 42.5

Forecast: Indoors

Wind speed: This game is played in a dome.

The Titans and Colts meet in a key AFC South battle in Indiana’s capital city. The big news is that RB Jonathan Taylor appears on track to make his season debut.

New York Giants at Miami Dolphins (-12.5), Total 47.5

Forecast: 86 degrees, 30% chance of rain/thunderstorms

Wind speed: 6-9 MPH

This intra-conference matchup in South Florida easily has the top problematic forecast of the weekend. The way the Giants have played, they’re probably praying for lightning delays.

New Orleans Saints at New England Patriots (-1), Total 39.5

Forecast: 61 degrees, 0% chance of precipitation

Wind speed: 10-13 MPH

A cold front combined with an offshore post-tropical cyclone might stir up some breezy conditions in the Bay State, but at least the conditions will be quite dry by Sunday afternoon.

Baltimore Ravens (-4.5) at Pittsburgh Steelers, Total 38

Forecast: 53 degrees, 0% chance of precipitation

Wind speed: 12-15 MPH

It will feel quite blustery in the Steel City, with the coolest forecast temperature of the weekend and an even cooler “feels-like” temperature. At least it will be nice and dry.

Cincinnati Bengals (-3) at Arizona Cardinals, Total 44.5

Forecast: Indoors

Wind speed: This game is played in a dome.

The Bengals hope to find an oasis in the desert under controlled conditions. However, the Cardinals’ offense has been rolling at home, averaging 28.0 points per game in two outings at State Farm Stadium.

Philadelphia Eagles (-4.5) at Los Angeles Rams, Total 50.5

Forecast: Indoors

Wind speed: This game is played in a dome.

The Eagles fly west, and they’ll likely have plenty of fans enjoying the sun and surf in SoCal this weekend. They’ll have to take a break from the sunshine indoors at SoFi Stadium, however.

New York Jets at Denver Broncos (-2.5), Total 43.5

Forecast: 74 degrees, 0% chance of precipitation

Wind speed: 3-6 MPH

The setting will be picturesque, with the golden aspens giving way to snow-capped mountain peaks in the distance. The temperatures in the Mile High City will be quite toasty. However, there will be no precipitation to speak of.

Kansas City Chiefs (-3.5) at Minnesota Vikings, Total 52.5

Forecast: Indoors

Wind speed: This game is played in a dome.

The Chiefs are on the road for a second consecutive weekend, and the offense will look for more consistency against a very giving Vikings pass defense under the roof in the Twin Cities.

Dallas Cowboys at San Francisco 49ers (-3.5), Total 45

Forecast: 79 degrees, 0% chance of precipitation

Wind speed: 9-12 MPH

It will feel like summer in Santa Clara for this NFC showdown on national television. There might be a 0% chance of precipitation, but there is a 100% chance of an entertaining game.

Green Bay Packers at Las Vegas Raiders (-1.5), Total 44.5

Forecast: Indoors

Wind speed: This game is played in a dome.

Raiders WR Davante Adams will get a crack against his former team for the first time, barring a setback with his shoulder. He won’t have to worry about unpleasant conditions while indoors.
