NFL Week 6 Early Odds, Picks & Predictions (2024)

Last week, I suggested taking the Vikings at +102 on the moneyline. They’re now -140. I also insisted on backing the Commanders at -1, and now they’re -3.

Additionally, I promoted backing the Dolphins at +110 against the Patriots, which still holds value despite last week’s loss.

We’ve got a bunch of +EV bets from last week’s early bets. Let’s see if we can do the same with the Week 6 early bets.

    Indianapolis Colts vs. Tennessee Titans

Although the Tennessee Titans are on a bye week, Brian Callahan already insisted Will Levis will be his starter when the Titans play against the Colts. That, of course, is as long as Levis is healthy.

Levis has struggled to find consistent success, while Mason Rudolph led the Titans to a victory against the Dolphins last week. It’s a head-scratching move.

That said, as long as the Colts take care of a 0-4 Jaguars squad this weekend, Indianapolis should be a heavier favorite on the road against the Titans. Anthony Richardson isn’t much better than Levis, and the Colts would be much better off with Joe Flacco. But with both teams deciding to go with young quarterbacks over proven veterans, the Colts would be the play here.

    Bet: Colts -1 (-105)

Los Angeles Chargers vs. Denver Broncos

Bo Nix and the Denver Broncos are on a two-game winning streak after knocking off the Buccaneers and Jets. Nix looked terrific against the Buccaneers and didn’t turn the ball over against the Jets to help secure both victories.

Luckily for Nix, he’ll take on the Las Vegas Raiders this weekend. It won’t be slippery and wet. Instead, he’ll be able to make more plays instead of negative dump downs. With a win against the Raiders and the Chargers on a bye week, there will be legitimate hype around the Broncos heading into this game against the Chargers at home.

The Broncos’ defense is elite, and Nix has already proven that he can orchestrate an NFL offense. I’d back the Broncos at +120 at home in this game.

    Bet: Broncos (+120)

    Detroit Lions vs. Dallas Cowboys

The Lions are on a bye week, but we just saw Detroit score 42 points against a very good Seattle defense. Jared Goff was perfect from the field, and everything seemed to click. With a bye week ahead, the Lions will have plenty of momentum heading into this road game against the Cowboys.

On the other hand, Dallas is on the road against the Steelers on Sunday Night Football. This game will likely be more high-scoring than some want to believe. The Steelers will find the endzone multiple times, and the Cowboys will have to be more aggressive in the air to score against the Saints.

With enough points against the Steelers, the bets will likely come in on the Over, boosting this number before next week’s game.

    Bet: Over 52 (-110)
