NFL Week 6 Pick’em Pool Predictions (2024)

Week 6 in the NFL features a few massive divisional matchups. Despite firing their head coach, the New York Jets could take over as the top team in the AFC East if they defeat the Buffalo Bills this week. Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Chargers visit the red-hot Denver Broncos in a key NFC West game. Other tight games include the Chicago Bears and Jacksonville Jaguars battling in London and the Indianapolis Colts visiting the Tennessee Titans.

Here is our best NFL pick’em advice for Week 6.

Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Chicago Bears

Can Caleb Williams take advantage of this matchup? The Jaguars have the worst pass defense in the NFL, allowing 287.8 passing yards per game this season. Though the Jaguars picked up their first win of the season last week, they allowed Joe Flacco to throw for 359 yards and three touchdowns.

Meanwhile, Trevor Lawrence has his work cut out for him. The Bears are only allowing 174.0 passing yards per game, and Lawrence has thrown for fewer than 180 yards in three of his five games this season. It's going to be very hard to move the ball against a defense allowing just 17.0 points per game.

Ultimately, the Jaguars will score in this game, and I think the Over is going to hit. However, the Jaguars' defense is so bad that Lawrence will need to play perfect football to win this game. That's not going to happen against the Bears' defense.

Pick: Bears

Indianapolis Colts vs. Tennessee Titans

Oddsmakers are giving a lot of the benefit of the doubt to teams coming off their byes. The Detroit Lions are favored by 3.5 at Dallas and the Los Angeles Chargers are favored at Denver. Still, no line is more surprising than this one. Are the Titans really only one point worse than the Colts?

The Colts aren't unbeatable, after all, they're just 2-3 this season, but the offense has looked very good over the last two weeks, especially with Joe Flacco under center. The Colts have announced that if Anthony Richardson can play on Sunday, he will be the starter. Flacco would probably make this team more likely to win, but even with Richardson, the Colts are much better than the Titans.

The Titans are 1-3, and their only win was over the hapless Miami Dolphins. Will Levis will continue to make mistakes, and despite this being a road game, the Colts will do enough to get the win as the more complete team.

Pick: Colts

Los Angeles Chargers vs. Denver Broncos

The Broncos have rattled off three consecutive wins, two of which were by at least 16 points. And yet, they're home underdogs against the Chargers this week. I get that, on paper, the Chargers are the better team. Plus, they're coming off their bye week. However, this Broncos' team is red-hot.

The Broncos' defense is playing incredibly well. They've held four opponents to 18 or fewer points while holding two to single digits. They have the fifth-ranked passing defense, and the 10th-ranked rushing defense. Additionally, they're allowing the second-fewest points in the league.

The Chargers have plenty of offensive weapons, starting with Justin Herbert. Somehow they have scored just 10 points in back-to-back games. I think they're in for a similar result on Sunday. Now, can the Broncos offense score enough to secure the win? That's the real question. Based on how they've been playing, they should do enough to pull the mini-upset.

Pick: Broncos

Buffalo Bills vs. New York Jets

Make whatever excuses you want, an NFL quarterback, especially one as good as Josh Allen, should never finish a game 9-of-30. The craziest part of last week's game is that despite Allen's horrific performance, the Bills still almost won. However, they ultimately fell, and they're now 3-0 against teams below .500 and 0-2 against teams above .500.

The Jets just fired head coach Robert Saleh. That may have some thinking that they're in trouble on Monday night. The opposite is true. The Jets' offensive game plan will be as simple as possible. Rather than Aaron Rodgers dropping back to pass 54 times as he did last week, the Jets are just going to run the ball.

The Bills are allowing 144.0 rushing yards per game. Breece Hall and Braelon Allen are going to have huge games and keep the ball away from a suddenly struggling Josh Allen. The Jets win a low-scoring contest.

Pick: Jets
