NFL Week 7 Confidence Pool Advice, Picks & Predictions (2023)
There are over one million entries in ESPN’s Confidence Pool. We’re slotted inside the top-3,000 entries in the world.
Our record is currently 65-28, with 588 confidence points. Still, we can do better.
Here’s the confidence list for Week 7 of the NFL season:
NFL Confidence Pool Picks
(1) Dolphins | Dolphins vs. Eagles
After Philadelphia’s loss to the Jets last weekend, I’m afraid that the Eagles might have a hard time coming off with enough points to beat the Dolphins in Week 7.
(2) Bears| Raiders vs. Bears
It’s Tyson Badgent season, with Justin Fields likely out for this game. I’ll take my chances with the home team in a game between two really lower-tier teams.
(3) Giants | Commanders vs. Giants
New York was extremely close to pulling off an iconic upset over the Bills. It’s unclear if Daniel Jones will return to the Giants’ offense, but there’s absolutely some hype around New York despite that Monday night loss.
(4) Saints | Jaguars vs. Saints
The news surrounding Trevor Lawrence’s injury has me taking the Saints at home. The New Orleans defense has been top-tier throughout the season.
(5) Lions | Lions vs. Ravens
This is a close one, but Detroit has been more consistent in catching passes and making plays. Even on the road, I believe in the Lions more right now.
(6) Buccaneers | Falcons vs. Buccaneers
This should be a lower-scoring game between the Falcons and Buccaneers. I’ll gladly take the home team with a legitimate passing game in that case.
(7) Rams | Steelers vs. Rams
Pittsburgh’s offense won’t keep up with the Rams’ offense. With Cooper Kupp back in the mix, you can expect Los Angeles to throw a lot and beat that Pittsburgh secondary.
(8) Browns | Browns vs. Colts
Cleveland shocked the world with a stunning win over the 49ers. This game could be between two backup quarterbacks. The difference is that the Browns’ defense will outshine the Colts’ defense by a wide margin.
(9) Packers | Packers vs. Broncos
The Broncos are about to head into rebuild mode. Players might be traded. This is the perfect spot for Jordan Love to return to his groove with the Packers.
(10) Chiefs | Chargers vs. Chiefs
This is always a fun rivalry game, but maybe we’ve overrated Justin Herbert and the Chargers throughout Herbert’s career. He’s a .500 quarterback. That’s not good enough against the Chiefs.
(11) 49ers | 49ers vs. Vikings
San Francisco is banged up. We’ll see if Deebo Samuel and Christian McCaffrey are good to go. But against the Vikings, this shouldn’t be a problem. Minnesota makes self-inflicting mistakes, while the San Francisco defense plays its tail off.
(12) Bills | Bills vs. Patriots
Lucky for the Bills, they’ll be out of the spotlight on Sunday, with a 1:00 p.m. ET start time.
(13) Seahawks | Seahawks vs. Cardinals
Fade Arizona every week.
