NFL Week 7 Early Odds, Picks & Predictions (2022)
Last week, I suggested betting on -6.5 for the Buccaneers against the Steelers. I argued that the 6.5 key number wouldn’t be there after games were played on Sunday. That analysis was spot on. The Bucs are now -8 point favorites against the Steelers. That key number is now gone.
Here are three early spots for next week’s NFL slate.

NFL Week 7 Early Odds, Picks & Predictions
New York Giants vs. Jacksonville Jaguars
The oddsmakers are still sleeping on the Giants. The Giants will take on the Baltimore Ravens at home on Sunday, with Wink Martindale coaching the defense against his former team.
I agree that the Ravens should be favored, on the road, against the Giants for the Week 6 matchup. But if the Giants show any kind of life or lose by a possession, there will be a lot of Giants bettors against the Jaguars, especially if New York is an underdog.
On the other hand, the Jaguars will take on the Indianapolis Colts on the road in Week 6. They’re also underdogs in that game. If both teams lose, the Giants will quickly get more betting action. But what if the Giants earn a win over Baltimore?
Back the Giants at +3.
Bet: Giants +3 (-110)
New York Jets vs. Denver Broncos
The New York Jets have also shocked the world. They’re 3-2 on the season and will now take on a Green Bay Packers team that lost to the Giants last week.
There’s a lot of familiarity with both of these teams. Packers’ head coach, Matt LaFleur, is close to Robert Salah, the head coach of the Jets. LaFleur’s brother is also the offensive coordinator for the Jets.
This could be an exciting matchup for the Jets. There’s a lot of intel that the Jets have to fight. Meanwhile, the Broncos have another primetime game. This week, it’s against the Chargers. Denver is almost a six-point underdog in this game.
I’d happily take the Jets at +3.5 right now. They could be a pick-em by Tuesday morning.

Kansas City Chiefs vs. San Francisco 49ers
This week, Patrick Mahomes is an underdog against the Buffalo Bills. This is the first time I’ve seen Mahomes as an underdog at home. What if the Chiefs earn a win against the Bills at home on Sunday?
The Chiefs would eventually become a three-or-more-point favorite against the 49ers, even on the road.
Meanwhile, the 49ers have the Atlanta Falcons on the road. If the 49ers earn a win in that game, it won’t have much of an effect on the odds in the following week. But if they lose, it certainly will.
It’s a win-win situation for the Chiefs if they can pull off an upset against Buffalo.
