NFL Week 7 Early Odds, Picks & Predictions (2023)

There were a few shockers in last week’s slate of games in the NFL.

The 49ers took their first loss of the season to PJ Walker and the Cleveland Browns. Meanwhile, the Eagles lost to the Jets with Zach Wilson under center.

The New York Giants were also inches away, multiple times, from earning an upset against the Bills on the road.

What can we expect for Week 7?

I’ve got a couple of best bets to consider for the slate.

Early NFL Week 7 Best Bets

All wagers are 1 unit.

Cleveland Browns vs. Indianapolis Colts

We don’t know if Deshaun Watson will play for the Browns this weekend. But we do know that the Colts will have Gardner Minshew, who looked absolutely awful for the Colts last weekend against the Jaguars.

Minshew went 33-for-55 with 329 yards passing. He added one touchdown but threw three interceptions, finishing with a QB rating of 22.8.

Indianapolis only earned 44 yards on 17 carries on the ground against Jacksonville. They also gave Jonathan Taylor just eight carries, where he earned 19 yards.

On the other hand, the Browns just knocked off the 49ers, giving them some momentum moving forward. The defense has allowed under 225 yards per game this season and proved again why they’re a top-five defense in the NFL this season.

If Cleveland’s quarterback doesn’t turn the ball over and allows the defense to play the field position game, the Browns will take this game against the Colts. It doesn’t matter who is at quarterback between Walker and Watson.

Bet: Browns -2 (-110)

Green Bay Packers vs. Denver Broncos

The Packers got a full bye week to prepare for the Broncos. Green Bay lost its last game to the Raiders, 17-13, without Aaron Jones in the backfield for another game.

After a bye week and two weeks to prepare, you’d have to imagine Jones will be back in the lineup. He’s a big piece to the puzzle for the Packers’ offense. He’s versatile and could make plays out of the backfield that AJ Dillon can’t.

The offense will get a chance to take on the Denver Broncos, who have allowed 458.2 yards per game this season. Denver’s defense played better last weekend against the Chiefs on Thursday Night Football, but the offense couldn’t get anything going.

Denver’s probably the worst team in the NFL. They’re about to ship some players and tank for the rest of the year. Even Jerry Jeudy’s not giving much effort for the Broncos right now.

Take the Packers on this short line.

Bet: Packers -1.5 (-110)
