NFL Week 7 First Touchdown Scorer Picks

New England Patriots @ Jacksonville Jaguars

Rhamondre Stevenson has not practiced this week and will likely miss Sunday’s game in London. Antonio Gibson has played almost 50% of snaps in the past two games and had 16 touches for 43 yards in Week 6. He received four targets and caught three of them from rookie quarterback Drake Maye. I expect Gibson to be involved in the passing game, and he will still have a chance to pound it in if they get to the goal line.

Pick: Antonio Gibson (+850 via DraftKings)

Miami Dolphins @ Indianapolis Colts

Tyler Huntley is starting for the Dolphins at quarterback, and it has not been great since he took over. They average 13.5 points per game since Huntley starter and are not the team to target for this prop. Anthony Richardson will return for the Colts, which means the deep ball is back. Alec Pierce missed practice on Thursday, which would mean more snaps for Adonai Mitchell if Pierce misses. He averages four targets a game and should get more with Richardson under center this week.

Pick: Adonai Mitchell (+1900 via FanDuel)

Tennessee Titans @ Buffalo Bills

The Bills have been bad against opposing running backs so far this season. They allow 140.2 rushing yards per game and have allowed two 100-yard rushers in Derrick Henry and Breece Hall. Tony Pollard averages 65% of snaps per game but played 74% out of the bye. Tyjae Spears (hamstring) is slowly losing his snap share, and Pollard is becoming the workhorse as he misses practice because of an injury. Pollard leads the team with 12 touches in the red zone and should be the go-to guy for the Titans.

Pick: Tony Pollard (+650 via DraftKings)

Cincinnati Bengals @ Cleveland Browns

Chase Brown led the backfield in snaps last week with 62%. He played 100% of the snaps in the red zone and out-touched Zack Moss 12 to seven. The Browns allow 137.3 rushing yards per game and have not been as stout as in recent years. The Bengals should be able to run the ball this week, and it seems Brown will be the guy. He has been extremely efficient this season, running and catching the football. He is a solid player in a game where Ja’Marr Chase is the favorite to score first.

Pick: Chase Brown (+700 via FanDuel)

Houston Texans @ Green Bay Packers

Romeo Doubs returned from suspension and caught two touchdowns. He finished with four targets, three receptions, 49 yards and two scores. He was on the field for 74% of snaps and led all receivers in snaps. Doubs averages 4.8 targets per week and is tied for the lead on the team in red zone targets. Jordan Love should be looking his way this week against the Texans, who are susceptible to the pass.

Pick: Romeo Doubs (+1100 via FanDuel)

Seattle Seahawks @ Atlanta Falcons

Bijan Robinson had two rushing touchdowns this past week, but we did not hit on our first touchdown bet. He scored the second touchdown of the game after the Panthers scored. I like Robinson’s matchup again this week. The Seahawks have allowed 144.7 rushing yards per game and have been gashed in the past two weeks. Robinson only played 54% of snaps last week, but Tyler Allgeier played a lot as they were winding the clock. Robinson is the lead back and will have room to work on the ground.

Pick: Bijan Robinson (+550 via FanDuel)

Detroit Lions @ Minnesota Vikings

Justin Jefferson is the best receiver in the league, and he will want to remind everyone coming off a bye week. He scored a touchdown in the first four games of the season, but his streak was snapped in Week 5 five. He averages 8.6 targets per game and is facing a defense allowing 246.2 passing yards per game. The Lions run man coverage a lot, and I do not know any defensive back who can guard Jefferson. This is a good play in a great matchup.

Pick: Justin Jefferson (+700 via FanDuel)

Philadelphia Eagles @ New York Giants

Saquon Barkley is facing his former team for the first time this week. A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith returned this past week, and Barkley struggled. He only ran for 47 yards and caught two passes for seven yards. The bright side is that he received 20 touches with his star receivers back. The work should be there for Barkley, but he has to be more efficient. The Giants are average against the run, but Barkley is above average.

Pick: Saquon Barkley (+400 via FanDuel)

Las Vegas Raiders @ Los Angeles Rams

The Raiders traded Davante Adams to the Jets this week, and it will leave a void in this offense. Tight end Brock Bowers benefitted in recent games when Adams was out with a hamstring injury. Bowers has received double-digit targets in the past two games, which brings his average to 7.7 per game. Jakobi Meyers averages 7.2 and could receive more, but Bowers should receive more work in the red zone.

Pick: Brock Bowers (+1300 via DraftKings)

Carolina Panthers @ Washington Commanders

The Panthers are not putting up much of a fight on defense this season. They allow 33.8 points per game, which is the most in the league. McLaurin averages 7.2 targets per game and has been finding the end zone. He has four touchdowns in his past four games, including two this past week against the Ravens. McLaurin also has four red zone targets, of which he has caught three, all for touchdowns. He should be involved early and often and has a great chance to find the end zone in this matchup.

Pick: Terry McLaurin (+750 via FanDuel)

Kansas City Chiefs @ San Francisco 49ers

The Chiefs have struggled against tight ends this season. They have allowed the most fantasy points to opposing tight ends this season and have the toughest matchup this week. George Kittle has 28 catches for 283 yards and five touchdowns this season. He has scored in four consecutive games, including two this past week. Kittle leads the team with 11 red zone targets, of which he has caught 10. He should be in for another big day on Sunday, and is the best play to score first.

Pick: George Kittle (+1000 via FanDuel)
