NFL Week 7 Line Movement Analysis: Odds, Picks & Predictions (2023)

After three weeks of enjoying NFL London games while we eat breakfast and drink coffee, Week 7 brings some normality back to our lives.

As Week 7 approaches, we keep tabs on all the NFL Lines, dissecting any significant move that may have happened early in the week.

As of Tuesday morning, four games had some eye-catching movement.

NFL Week 7 Line Movement

(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)

Jacksonville Jaguars @ New Orleans Saints

Spread

  • Open: Jaguars -1
  • Current: Saints -3

Late Sunday, DraftKings (DK) opened this game close to a pick ’em with the Jaguars as a slight road favorite. With eyes on Trevor Lawrence’s bruised knee, his status is questionable for Thursday night. This may be the leading cause for the line to flip like it has, as not the Saints are three-point home favorites.

Los Angeles Chargers @ Kansas City Chiefs

Total

  • Open: 51
  • Current: 49

Sunday night, DraftKings opened this total at 51, and it got up to 52 in some places, which seems reasonable considering these two have put up a combined 50+ points in four straight meetings.

But the line movement has actually gone in the opposite direction in the past 24 hours. Since getting up to 52 Monday morning, the total has dropped three points to its current number of 49.

Green Bay Packers @ Denver Broncos

Spread

  • Open: Packers -2
  • Current: Packers -1

Both teams are getting some extra rest before their Week 7 matchup. The Broncos get a mini-bye after losing to the Chiefs on Thursday night, while the Packers are fresh off their Week 6 bye week.

This line opened up with the Packers as two-point road favorites and now has seen the line drop to 1.

It’s worth noting that Denver is 0-3 SU and ATS at home this season while also being 0-5-1 ATS in 2023.

 Miami Dolphins @ Philadelphia Eagles

Total

  • Open: 53
  • Current: 52

The look-ahead line for this game at DraftKings had this Total at 53.5. Sunday evening, DK reopened this at 53. Initially, it took some money on the under, dropping it to 52.5, but then we saw some immediate buyback, bringing this total back up to 53.5.

As of Tuesday night morning, we saw this line drop to where it sits at 52, which seems to be the consensus line across the market, but it will be interesting to watch as we get closer to this Sunday Night Showdown.
