NFL Week 7 Player Prop Bet Picks & Predictions: Sunday Night Football (Steelers vs. Dolphins)

The Pittsburgh Steelers are heading to Miami where they look to take down the Dolphins. The fins open as touchdown favorites in Hard Rock on Sunday. Here are my favorite player prop bets for Sunday night's game.

Tyreek Hill Over 78.5 Receiving Yards (-115 BetMGM)<

Through the first third of the season, Tyreek Hill leads the NFL in receiving yards with 701. Despite new threads, Hill has seen no noticeable drop in production as a member of Mike McDaniel's offense. Hill has managed to top 79 receiving yards in four of six games (60%) this season. Additionally, the Steelers rank dead last in the NFL in receiving yards allowed to the wide receiver position. Pittsburgh has allowed 210.5 receiving yards per game on average to wide receivers through the first six games of the season. Furthermore, quarterback Tua Tagovailoa is set to return in this week's matchup. I expect Hill to feast tonight with improved quarterback play and a weak secondary.

Najee Harris Under 44.5 Rushing Yards (-118 BetRivers)

Najee Harris has not been the same since last season. This is due to a decrease in both volume and production. From 2021 to 2022, Harris' yards per carry decreased from 3.9 to 3.2. Harris' carries per game also dropped from 18.1 to just 13.8 in 2022. Harris has failed to reach 45 rushing yards in three of his six games (50%) so far this season. On top of this, the Dolphins’ run defense has been elite to start the season. Miami ranks 3rd in the NFL, allowing just 71.7 rushing yards per game to the running back position. Given Najee's already disappointing 2022 campaign and Miami’s rock-solid run defense, I’ll be taking the under on his rushing prop.

Tua Tagovailoa Over 248.5 Passing Yards (-115 BetMGM)

Tua Tagovailoa will make his return as the starting quarterback of the Dolphins during Sunday Night Football. In the two games where Tua was fully healthy, he surpassed 250 passing yards in both of them. Additionally, the Steelers’ secondary has been well below average over the first third of the season. Pittsburgh ranks 30th in the NFL, allowing an average of 289.5 passing yards per game. Mike McDaniel has transformed the Dolphins into a high-powered offense, and I expect Tua to torch this low-tier secondary.
