NFL Week 8 Early Odds, Picks & Predictions (2022)

If you followed along last week, I acknowledged taking the Jets at +3.5 and the Chiefs at -1.5 for Week 7.

The Jets are now sitting at +1, while the Chiefs had added a point to their spread and are now sitting at -2.5. This is why it pays to get in on lines a week early.

Here are three early options for Week 8 to consider in the NFL.

NFL Week 8 Early Odds, Picks & Predictions

New England Patriots vs. New York Jets

I’ve enjoyed watching the Bailey Zappe show in New England. Zappe likely starts in Week 7. But what if Mac Jones comes back to start Week 8?

If I were the Patriots, I’d be a bit worried. Zappe has been excellent and has shown more potential than Jones has. We haven’t seen Zappe for an extended period, but let’s just call it how we see it. The Patriots have had a ton of success recently, and Jones could come in and ruin it.

What if the Jets beat the Broncos, and Jones returns for the Patriots? Other bettors would think the same way I’m thinking. I’d much rather back the Jets at home if the Patriots decide to start Mac Jones in Week 8.

Get the Jets as underdogs in Week 8 right now.

Bet: Jets +1 (-110)

Miami Dolphins vs. Detroit Lions

With Tua Tagovailoa back, the Dolphins are in great shape. Tua is healthy enough to play again after a scary situation earlier in the season.

If Miami’s offense can start to take off again, there’s no reason why the Dolphins should be only a -3 favorite against the Lions in Week 8.

The Lions will likely struggle to score points against the Cowboys in Week 7 on the road. Meanwhile, the Dolphins are seven-point favorites against a Steelers team that just beat the Buccaneers in Week 7.

When the Dolphins earn a win in Week 7 and the Lions get blown out by the Cowboys, this line is going to get much higher than -3. Take the Dolphins.

Bet: Dolphins -3 (-110)

New York Giants vs. Seattle Seahawks

I know the analytics aren’t buying the New York Giants hype. But I am.

The Giants are gritty. They’re earning wins with solid play-calling. They’re playing to their strengths and finding ways to attack the other team’s weaknesses.

And believe me. The Seattle Seahawks have a lot of weaknesses on that team, especially on the defensive side of things. If the Giants earn a road win against a two-win Jaguars team and the Seahawks lose to the Chargers on the road, the Giants could become a pick-em against the Seahawks next Sunday.

Let’s ride with the G-Men, who continue to impress and surprise.

Bet: Giants +1.5 (-110)
